  2. A Happy Birthday?published at 13:33 British Summer Time 22 October 2016

    Arsenal v Middlesbrough (15:00 BST)

What do you reckon Arsene Wenger fancies for his birthday? Maybe a new contract? His current deal expires at the end of the season...

Ending the day top of the Premier League would be better than a pair of socks. If he's lukcy, maybe Jose Mourinho will send him a few copies of Winning Edge magazine - or has his subscription now expired?

Frenchman Wenger is 67 today - and the Gunners are at home to Middlesbrough, who haven't won in their last six matches.

Victory would send his side top of the tree - although Manchester City will have right to reply at home to Southampton on Sunday.

Plymouth will be looking to extend their lead at the top of League Two when they make the trip to bottom side Newport.

Carlisle are one of the sides hoping to rein the leaders in and will also be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign when they go to Stevenage.

Meanwhile, Crawley welcome Accrington as two of the four sides tied on 19 points and on the cusp of a play-offs place.

There is plenty riding on the Yorkshire derby between Bradford City and Sheffield United at the Northern Commercials Stadium as both sides look to grab a hold of an automatic promotion spot early on.

The second-placed Bantams currently sit three points behind leaders Scunthorpe, who visit struggling Chesterfield today, but a win for Chris Wilder's Sheffield United side would see them leapfrog their hosts.

At the bottom, Shrewsbury will be looking for their first win in nine games when they welcome Northampton.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

It's a feisty atmosphere here as the first half draws to a close - the home fans were firmly of the opinion that Erik Lamela should be walking down the tunnel for a second yellow card, while Danny Rose's foul on Joshua King means four Spurs players (plus Bournemouth's Dan Gosling) are walking a tightrope as the hosts' ability to break at pace is causing problems for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs midfielder Dele Alli's had some beautiful touches so far. Nutmegging two players as he laid the ball off to Erik Lamela to hit the bar for example.

But he's also one of four Tottenham players to go into the book - with the game just now approaching half-time.

"He is a big talent but he was a bit wild," Mauricio Pochettino said of Alli in the build-up to Spurs' game at Bournemouth.

"You can't lose that side - it might make him a special player.

"It is like when you have a wild horse and you need to put it in a box and domesticate it, no?" added Tottenham's Argentine manager.

Newcastle celebrate scoring against BarnsleyImage source, Rex Features

Dwight Gayle is the man in form in the Championship, having scored 11 goals in 11 league games for Newcastle, including seven in his last four appearances.

He will be trying to consolidate his side's position at the top of the table when they host 12th-placed Ipswich at 15:00 BST.

Elsewhere second-placed Norwich welcome Preston to Carrow Road, while Brighton, in third, are at Wigan.

Fourth-placed Huddersfield have lost their past two league games and aim to get back on track when they host Steve McClaren's Derby.

Sheffield Wednesday could take advantage of Birmingham's defeat at Burton last night and go fifth if they beat QPR at Hillsborough.

Kenny Jackett takes charge of Rotherham for the first time when they host Reading.

It's already looking fairly desperate for the Millers, lying bottom on just six points, five adrift of 23rd-placed Wigan.

In other games, Bristol City, in seventh, host fourth-bottom Blackburn, while eighth-placed Brentford welcome Barnsley. The Bees will be without Alan McCormack as he starts a five-match ban for using abusive language towards a female match official.

Aston Villa, having taken four points from Steve Bruce's first two games in charge, are home to Fulham, while Leeds travel to Wolves. In the 17:30 BST kick-off, Nottingham Forest host Cardiff.
