    Preston 0-0 Wolves

Preston rallying late on here, with Aiden McGeady threatening with a couple of chances and Simon Makienok heading wide.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Dominic Iorfa have had attempts for Wolves as we edge to a thrilling crescendo.

Does anyone have the magic to turn this game?

    Stay right here!

  3. goal

GOAL (Adams)published at 16:43 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Birmingham 1-0 Bristol City

Managers love a good substitution and Gary Rowett will be chuffed with his decision to send on Che Adams - who rewards him with a goal.

He thumped in on the back of a corner and it's a goal that as it stands would lift the Blues up to fifth in the Championship.

    Potentially crucial.

  4. goal

GOAL (Naismith)published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 2-1 Norwich City

Cat amongst the pigeons? Ten-man Norwich City have a goal back and Steven Naismith is the man to head the ball into the Rangers net.

Good work by Jacob Murphy, who struck the post a moment ago.

Nervy last 12 or so minutes for Ian Holloway and his Rangers side who have been comfortable... until now!

Rochdale's fans couldn't have been too relaxed at half-time, holding only a one-goal lead against Swindon. They'll be far more comfortable now, as two goals from Steven Davies and one from Matty Lund means they now lead 4-0.

Sheffield United looked home and dry with a 2-0 advantage over 10-man Shrewsbury, but Louis Dodds has pulled one back to ensure a nervy finish for the Blades.

Southend can be pretty certain that they'll be ending the day with three points in the bag though, with Will Atkinson extending their lead over Bradford to 2-0. League One leaders Scunthorpe are also on course for victory, Scott Wiseman putting them 1-0 up late on against Oldham.

  6. The Ian Holloway showpublished at 16:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 2-0 Norwich

QPR's new boss has certainly been in the thick of the action on the touchline. He's never short of a facial gesture or a bit of emotion is the Bristolian.

He even got his head on the ball...

    QPR 2-0 Norwich City

Jacob Murphy cracks the woodwork with a swinging effort into the box, as Norwich show some attacking intent.

Warning shot for QPR, who are pushing the ball around to frustrate the Canaries for the most part.

    Preston 0-0 Wolves

Perhaps Preston and Wolves took the jibe about a lack of punches too literally, because we've just had a mini-scuffle on the back of a tackle by Ben Pearson.

Four players, two apiece, have been booked and perhaps finally we'll get some excitement in the game.

    Fingers crossed...

  9. Ince misses penalty for hat-trickpublished at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Derby 3-0 Rotherham

Maybe a glimmer of hope for Rotherham? Probably not. Tom Ince sees his penalty saved by Lee Camp - it's the Derby man's second miss from the spot today, but it remains 3-0.

Meanwhile Huddersfield have pulled a goal back and now trail 3-2 at Cardiff. It's an absolute screamer from Philip Billing with a stunning volley into the top corner from 25 yards. Wow.

George Francomb and Dean ParrettImage source, Rex Features

After a slow start, the goals are flying in now in League One and League Two.

Wimbledon have extended their lead over Bury to 5-1 thanks to George Francomb's second goal of the day, while Oxford also lead by four against Coventry - it's 4-0 to the U's with nearly 20 minutes still to play.

Like Bury, Chesterfield are heading for an eight successive defeat in League One, as Victor Nierennold has given hosts Fleetwood a 2-0 advantage.

In League Two, Exeter have retaken the lead at promotion-chasing Carlisle - Lee Holmes has made it 2-1. Meanwhile, high-flying Portsmouth could be on for a shock defeat against struggling Cheltenham as Dan O'Shaughnessy has given the Robins a one-goal lead.

    Preston 0-0 Wolves

They've broken the deadlock! THEY'VE HAD A SHOT! Take a bow, Matt Doherty. Sorry, I wasn't talking about a goal I'm afraid. Cheeky perhaps, but it is the first attempt on goal for Wolves under new boss Paul Lambert.

I'm all for teams showing their defensive mettle, big centre-halves putting themselves about a bit to bravely deny a centre-forward or goalkeeping heroics but there's been little of that here.

If this was a boxing match, they'd have stopped it. For a lack of punches being thrown.

  12. Gloomy afternoon for Millerspublished at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Derby 3-0 Rotherham

It's another disastrous Saturday for the Championship's bottom side Rotherham.

Derby midfielder Thomas Ince bags his second of the match after being set clean through on goal.

The Millers have now conceded 41 in the league this season.

No more goals in any of the other eight Championship matches so far in the second half.

  13. Postpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Birmingham City 0-0 Bristol City

Both these teams can climb into the top six with a good result and other scores going their way but nothing has separated them so far.

Bristol City have had a couple of early second half chances, with Marlon Pack denied and Lee Tomlin equally frustrated having had a pop from a free-kick.

    Deadlock. Stalemate.

  14. Postpublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 2-0 Norwich City

The second half at Loftus Road was always going to have a bit to live up to given we had a sending off, a missed penalty and a goalmouth scramble all inside 90 seconds.

So far it's been 'Steady Eddie', mainly because QPR are 2-0 up and well in control. Norwich unable to puncture the carnival atmosphere on Ollie's big return.

It's not going so well for McCall's Bradford this afternoon. They're 1-0 down at Southend.

    And it's at Mansfield!

Steve Evans worked his magic at Leeds last season to help them to a mid-table Championship finish, and now he's got Mansfield firing.

The Stags go 1-0 up against Crawley in Evans' first game since joining the League Two club on Wednesday, with Chris Clements the man on target. There's even better news four minutes later, Patrick Hoban hammering a shot in to the back of the net to make it 2-0.

  17. Slow start to second halfpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

We had about 50 goals early in the first half.

None so far in the whole EFL after the break.

Hold on...there has been a goal...

The half-time cuppas have been sunk, pies munched, and the players are back out for the second half at most of our grounds.

    Let's go.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Preston 0-0 Wolves

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. That could well be the team-talk given by new Wolves boss Paul Lambert after a first-half in which his side failed to register a single effort on goal - wide or on target.

They have looked lively in places, with Helder Costa an occasional threat but it's fair to say they need more punch after the break.

Preston are in good form though and are tough to break down. They only produced four shots of their own in an attritional opening 45.

Surely something can warm us up at Deepdale in the second-half?

  20. Unlikely comeback on at Wimbledon?published at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

Newport take the lead against Notts CountyImage source, Rex Features

The biggest leads in League One at half-time belong to Oxford, who are 3-0 up against Coventry, and Wimbledon, who led 4-0 against Bury before James Vaughan - yes, that James Vaughan - pulled one back for the visitors.

Leaders Scunthorpe have yet to break the deadlock with struggling Oldham, but second-placed Sheffield United are two goals to the good against 10-man Shrewsbury.

In League Two, we're still waiting for the first goal in five of the 12 games, but Newport are off the bottom of the table as it stands, as they hold onto a 2-0 lead at Notts County.
