Leaders Scunthorpe could stretch their lead at the summit to eight points with victory over struggling Oldham.

Second-placed Bradford, who have lost just once this season, travel to a resurgent Southend United who are unbeaten in five games.

Sheffield United have not lost in the league since 20 August and are unbeaten in 12 matches. Chris Wilder's side host lowly Shrewsbury today.

Bury who parted company with manager David Flitcroft on Wednesday, are looking to halt a run of seven straight league defeats with a visit to AFC Wimbledon, while bottom side Chesterfield, who have also lost seven in a row travel to Fleetwood.

Cardiff v Huddersfield: Anthony Pilkington and Peter Whittingham return to the Cardiff team in place of Craig Noone and Kieran Richardson. Slovenian defender Jon Gorenc Stankovic makes his first start for Huddersfield in their only change from a fortnight ago. Jack Payne is out with a knee injury suffered in training.

Derby v Rotherham: Derby make one change as Chris Baird comes in for the injured Cyrus Christie. Rotherham boss Kenny Jackett brings in four new faces from the 3-1 defeat against Preston last time out - Richard Wood once again skippers the side in place of Lee Frecklington.

Fulham v Sheffield Wednesday: Fulham are unchanged from the 2-0 west London derby victory at Brentford 15 days ago. The Owls bring Fernando Forestieri and Ross Wallace back into the starting XI.

With just one win all season and already eight points from safety things are beginning to look bleak for the division's bottom side, Rotherham.

It doesn't get any easier for Kenny Jackett's men this afternoon - they visit Derby, who recorded back-to-back wins before the international break.

Another team in need of points, 23rd-placed Blackburn, host Brentford, while Fulham or Sheffield Wednesday, who meet at Craven Cottage, could move into the play-off places with victory.

Jaap Stam's fourth-placed Reading are looking to make it four wins in a row - they're at home to Burton.

Ian Holloway looked a little more focused chatting to QPR chairman Tony Fernandes on his arrival at Loftus Road earlier.

The joviality is sure to stop for the next couple of hours as the real business of picking up points starts.

But don't worry, I'm sure Ollie's got a few crackers lined up for his press conference after. We'll be bringing you all the reaction and talking points after the full-time whistles go.

New Mansfield boss Steve Evans begins life in the East Midlands by hosting Crawley.

The 54-year-old former Leeds manager looked in a relaxed mood earlier this afternoon talking to reporters at Field Mill.

Elsewhere, second-placed Carlisle, whose 15-game unbeaten start to the campaign finally came to an end at bottom side Newport last weekend, will be looking to get back to winning ways against Exeter at Brunton Park.

Newport could make it three victories in a row and move off the foot of the table at Notts County.

Leaders Plymouth, who have not lost in 13 games, host Grimsby.

Birmingham v Bristol City: Birmingham City have made one change to the bench, with Diego Fabbrini left out in favour of Reece Brown. Bristol City bring goalkeeper Frank Fielding back between the sticks, with Richard O'Donnell left out.

Blackburn v Brentford: Blackburn bring Derek Williams, Liam Feeney and Danny Graham in for the injured Gordon Greer, Danny Guthrie and Marvin Emnes. Brentford start Lasse Vibe and Sulaiman Kaikai ahead of Josh McEachran and Romain Sawyers.

Just one point separates Birmingham and Bristol City in the Championship table and with little over a third of the season gone, both are very much contenders for a play-off spot.

The Blues - seventh in the table and a point off sixth, are without a win in three but have lost just once at home this season and have on-loan Burnley forward Lukas Jutkiewicz in form - three goals in his last four starts.

Few players in the EFL have enjoyed the kind of form that Bristol City's Tammy Abraham has shown both in front of goal - with 12 in 20 games in all competitions.

The 19-year-old's finishing could be crucial as the ninth-placed Robins are without a win against Birmingham in 11 meetings, and a win would at the very least keep them in touch with the top six.

  13. Will Lambert's Wolves be gold or black?published at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Preston v Wolves (15:00 GMT)

So, a bold move by the ex-Villa and Norwich boss Paul Lambert to bring some familiar faces into the Wolves starting line-up. But they need to pick up points.

Wolves under Lambert's predecessor Walter Zenga were third after four games... while North End were second bottom after five defeats from six at the start of the campaign.

Wolves' tailspin to 19th - without a win in seven - ushered in the Scot's arrival at Molineux.

It won't be easy. Simon Grayson's Lillywhites have won five of the past eight in the Championship, with just one narrow defeat to league leaders Newcastle.

Interestingly, North End were Lambert's first opponents when he took over at Blackburn last season - a game he won 2-1. Will history repeat itself today?

  14. Team newspublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

Let's start with some early team news...

Preston v Wolves: Preston make one change as Ben Pearson replaces injured Ben Pringle; new Wolves boss Paul Lambert brings in Kortney Hause, Jack Price, George Saville and Bright Enobakhare.

QPR v Norwich: New QPR manager Ian Holloway without suspended Karl Henry so Massimo Luongo starts in midfield; one of six changes for Norwich sees John Ruddy replace Michael McGovern in goal.

Reading v Burton: Striker Dominic Samuel makes first league start for Reading; Kyle McFadzean suspended and Jamie Ward injured, so John Mousinho and Stuart Beavon start for Burton.

Remember the class clown at school who used to say things to get a laugh out of his mates?

What's the betting 'Ollie' was that guy when was a lad in his native Bristol? Judging by some of his press conferences in the past I'd say you'd get good odds.

Before we get down to business, here's a quick look at what happened last night...

In-form Brighton striker Glenn Murray scored his 10th Championship goal of the season as the Seagulls stretched their unbeaten league run to 11 games with a draw against Aston Villa.

Nathan Baker's flicked header put Steve Bruce's Villa ahead, but Bournemouth-loanee Murray struck a low shot into the corner just before the break.

Villa dominated the second half but were unable to find a breakthrough.

  17. Can Ollie keep Canaries wings clipped?published at 14:03 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR v Norwich (15:00 GMT)

Love him or loathe him, Ian Holloway's return to Loftus Road as Queens Park Rangers boss is great news for headline writers and journalists.

However he'll need a bit more than amusing soundbites to get the Rs rocking again, after a slump to 17th in the league and a three-game winless run.

That said, few people understand what makes Rangers tick more than the Bristolian, who made 170 appearances as a player and amidst financial upheaval led the club back to the Championship during a five-year spell in charge between 2001 and 2006.

His opposite number Alex Neil will possibly be glad of the 'Ollie' circus surrounding this fixtures, as it could take the focus off Norwich's three-match losing run.

They've conceded 11 goals in the past four games, so tightening that up will be a priority, but form is on their side as they've not lost to Rangers in their past seven league meetings.
