  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 2-0 Norwich

So far, so good for Ian Holloway, who has seen his side deliver the perfect display in the first game of his second spell in charge.

Goals from Conor Washington and Seb Polter have established a two-goal cushion that has seldom been threatened, and it might have been three had Tjaronn Chery found the net from the penalty spot after two minutes.

Norwich have undoubtedly been affected by the loss of Martin Olsson, sent off for handball, but their attacking intent has been minimal.

Loftus Road is rocking, and the Canaries need something big to sort it out after the break.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Birmingham City 0-0 Bristol City

We gave Bristol City's on-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham the big billing before kick-off but so far the England Under-21 man has failed to live up to it.

He's had a couple of chances, air-kicking one and crashing one wide, but this has been more of a 'defences on top' game.

Lukas Jutkiewicz has been denied too, as the Blues put pressure on at the other end.

No goals but a decent game.

If Canaries had teeth, you'd definitely suggest they've failed to truly bare them as QPR remain comfortably in front at Loftus Road.

The man advantage is counting so far - how crucial was that Martin Olsson sending off after two minutes?

Perfect start as it stands for Ian Holloway, who's having an immediate effect.

    Championship update

The goals are raining in at the Cardiff City Stadium. Tommy Smith pulled one back for Huddersfield, but it's now 3-1 to Cardiff following Rickie Lambert's strike.

Talking of goals - there have now been five in the opening 38 minutes at Blackburn. Scott Hogan scored his second to pull it back to 2-2 for Brentford, but a Harlee Dean own goal has put the hosts back in front.

    Absolutely bonkers!

Reading are now 2-0 up against Burton, Danny Williams with the goal.

  5. New manager, same resultspublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

Bury parted company with manager David Flitcroft on Wednesday after a run of seven straight defeats, but the change hasn't had the desired effect.

Chris Whelpdale puts Wimbledon 1-0 up against the Shakers, before Dom Poleon and Tom Elliott score twice more within two minutes of the first goal to make it 3-0 to the Dons. George Francomb makes it 4-0 from the spot, though he takes a full eight minutes longer to get involved.

In League Two, bottom side Newport are on course for a rare win, as they lead Notts County 2-0 at Meadow Lane.

Southend meanwhile have gone 1-0 up over Bradford in League One and celebrated with their take on the 'Mannequin Challenge'. Kids these days...

    Preston 0-0 Wolves

New boss Paul Lambert is getting a glimpse of how why Wolves are 19th in the Championship table, as his side are yet to record a shot on target. In fact, a shot of note at all.

That said Preston have mustered three. This is not a classic so far.

  7. Blades cut Shrewsbury downpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Stefan ScougallImage source, Rex Features

It already looked like being a long afternoon for Shrewsbury when they fell one goal down early on against Sheffield United in League One - it's looking far worse now.

Jim O'Brien sees red for a foul on Daniel Lafferty in the box, and though Billy Sharp's penalty is saved, Stefan Scougall makes it 2-0 shortly after.

There's been a second goal at Walsall too, Jason McCarthy equalising for the Saddlers after Cody McDonald had put the visitors ahead after two minutes.

    Birmingham City 0-0 Bristol City

Bristol City's Frank Fielding has really earned his recall to the side this afternoon, edging his personal duel with Birmingham forward Lukas Jutkiewicz.

He's put himself in front of everything so far, how long can the Robins hold out?

  9. goal

GOAL (Polter)published at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 2-0 Norwich

Cool as you like from Sebastian Polter who slips the ball beyond John Ruddy in the Norwich goal to put Rangers 2-0 up.

Loftus Road is rocking, the atmospheric old ground and Ian Holloway's return is going as planned.

Ten-man Norwich on course for a fourth straight defeat and Alex Neil has some work to do.

  10. goal

GOAL (Washington)published at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 1-0 Norwich

Conor Washington goal for QPRImage source, Rex Features

Well, just as I was about to publish that the game had calmed down a bit, up pops a goal from Conor Washington.

Rangers, under Ian Holloway for the first time in his second spell in charge, won a corner and when the ball was swung into the box by Tjaronn Chery, Seb Polter headed on to Washington, who finished well.

Jubilation at Loftus Road as Ollie's Army go in front.

  11. Blackburn aheadpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Blackburn 2-1 Brentford

Make that 2-1 to Blackburn! Danny Graham slots home his second from the penalty spot after Corry Evans is fouled in the box.

Reading are also 1-0 up against Burton through youngster Dominic Samuel.

    GOALS are flying in everywhere!!

  12. Elsewhere in the Championshippublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

What a start for Cardiff! The Bluebirds are 2-0 up against Championship high-fliers Huddersfield after just 17 minutes through goals from captain Sean Morrison and Junior Hoilett

Big striker Fernando Forestieri has given Sheffield Wednesday the lead at Fulham with a super finish after some fine work from Barry Bannan.

It looks like it's going to be a long afternoon for Rotherham once again. Tom Ince, who scored on the rebound after his penalty was saved, and Darren Bent have given Derby a two-goal lead.

Danny Graham has equalised for Blackburn against Brentford following Scott Hogan's goal after 33 seconds.

    Preston 0-0 Wolves

Wolves boss Paul LambertImage source, Rex Features

Not too much for Paul Lambert to get excited about in his first game as Wolves boss so far.

Just a couple of crosses for both sides but no clear-cut chances. Steady start.

  14. Carlisle back on termspublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Charlie WykeImage source, Rex

Reuben Reid grabbed the first goal of the day in League Two to give Exeter the lead at Carlisle, but his work has already been undone as Charlie Wyke has put the promotion-chasing hosts back on level terms.

In League One, Sheffield United are on course to extend their unbeaten run to 13 matches thanks to Billy Sharp's goal against Shrewsbury, while struggling Oxford are 1-0 up against Coventry after Kane Hemmings slotted in.

  15. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Birmingham City 0-0 Bristol City

No goals so far but a lively, open start for both sides.

In-form Blues forward Lukas Jutkiewicz has had a chance but was denied by Bristol City keeper Frank Fielding, who then saved from David Cotterilll.

  16. Early goal for Brentfordpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Blackburn 0-1 Brentford

And I mean early. Scott Hogan has scored after just 33 seconds. It's madness out there!

  17. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    QPR 0-0 Norwich City

Phew... Tjaronn Chery has missed a penalty, smashing his shot wide of the target from the spot! QPR had the chance to go in front, and they've failed to take it.

It could have been the perfect start for new R's boss Ian Holloway but Norwich survive.

The visitors are down to 10 though, Martin Olsson was sent off for handball and there was a yellow card to Alex Tettey for protesting.

    All going on!
