    Leeds 0-0 Aston Villa

There hasn't been a great deal of action in either final third. Alan Hutton just nodded a dangerous cross from Leeds right-back Luke Ayling to relative safety.

We could do with a shot on target to liven things up.

There's a momentary break in play as a pitch invader is dealt with.

    Now, on with the game.

Villa go route one from the kick-off.

Rudy Gestede heads down a long ball and it finds its way to Jonathan Kodija.

The Ivory Coast striker smashes a shot wide from range.

Rather direct, but at least an effort on goal. We can't be too fussy.

    Leeds 0-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa get the second half started.

The visitors are looking to make it eight games unbeaten under new boss Steve Bruce.

Villa have drawn 10 of their 18 league matches this season - three more stalemates than any other second-tier side have recorded.

Leeds would go fourth in the Championship with a victory. They slipped down to ninth before kick-off after all the drama earlier on today.

And here's some more from Simon Grayson's interview with BBC Radio Lancashire. It's fair to say he's not holding back...

"You expect it in the playground between four or five-year-olds, but not from two professionals who've been in the game a long time. It's an embarrassment.

"I've been in the game for 30 years playing and managing and I've never been involved with anything like that.

"I spoke to them in the dressing room and they were apologetic, but that doesn't wash with me. Something like that should never happen in the professional game."

  8. Split loyalties for McCormackpublished at 18:29 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    HT: Leeds 0-0 Aston Villa

Villa striker Ross McCormack is watching this one from the stands as he is still on his way back from injury.

The Scotland international scored 53 goals in 144 league appearances during four years with Leeds before joining Fulham in the summer of 2014.

His son also has an interest in proceedings at Elland Road tonight...

Right then, it's about time we heard some more from Preston North End manager Simon Grayson, after Jermaine Beckford and Eoin Doyle were sent off for fighting in their defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Leeds United boss has been speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire...

"It's an absolute embarrassment," he said.

"I stick up for my players at every club I've been at - I don't like to criticise them in public, I will do that in the dressing room - but I can't stick up for either of those players.

"It's an absolutely ridiculous decision from both of them. I don't give a monkey's who started it - the reaction from both of them is absolutely childish."

Huddersfield have now failed to win their last five games after being held to a draw at struggling Blackburn.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner: "We had great energy, we worked together to win the ball back and we were very positive. Now we go forward.

"We had five, six or seven players who couldn't score today, not just one. Nearly everyone should have scored today."

  15. Postpublished at 42 mins

Villa come forward and Gary Gardner has an effort from the edge of teh area blocked by the Leeds defence.

Jonathan Kodija was briefly in space in the box and the visitors maybe should have tested Rob Green in the United goal.
