Fulham are piling the misery on 10-man Reading, as Stefan Johansen makes it 4-0 with a neat finish.

This will just be the Whites' third home win of the season.

Elsewhere Birmingham, 1-0 down at home to Barnsley, have had David Davis sent off. That might harm their hopes of a comeback.

  5. RED CARDpublished at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Sheff Wed 1-0 Preston

Sheffield Wednesday could face a tense end to this match.

Goalscorer Fernando Forestieri has got himself a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident, so the Owls will have to play out the last 25 minutes with 10 men.

That is the Italian's third red card this calendar year.

    Wigan really are pressing.

Derby County keeper Scott Carson makes two saves in quick succession, first saving Yanic Wildschut's shot and then keeping out Max Power's header.

About 20 minutes remain at the DW Stadium.

    Burton 2-0 Rotherham

    Burton AlbionImage source, Rex Features

Burton double their lead over bottom club Rotherham through Matthew Palmer.

The Millers have only won once this season, started the day 12 points from safety and Kenny Jackett resigned in midweek.

It doesn't look like caretaker manager Paul Warne will stop the rot today.

  10. Postpublished at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Cardiff 0-0 Brighton

BBC Sussex's Brighton commentator Johnny Cantor has described this as one of the worst games he has seen this season.

It really is dreary. There have hardly been any chances.

Anthony Knockaert is itching to come on for the Seagulls and is warming up on the sidelines.

    Norwich 3-0 Brentford

Surely this is game, set and match for the Canaries.

Robbie Brady makes it 3-0 at Carrow Road after latching on to a through ball from Alex Pritchard.

Boss Alex Neil will be breathing a sigh of relief as it looks like their losing run will be over.

  12. RED CARDpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Fulham 2-0 Reading

    Danny WilliamsImage source, Rex Features

It goes from bad to worse for Reading, who have midfielder Danny Williams sent off for kicking out at Stefan Johansen.

It looks like Reading's five-match winning streak will come to an end.

  13. Postpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Fulham 2-0 Reading

Fulham double their lead at home to third-placed Reading.

On-loan striker Chris Martin gets it with his fifth goal since joining the Whites after finding space in the box and slotting into the bottom corner.

I assume Reading boss Jaap Stam has a face like thunder.

    Wigan 0-1 Derby

    Richard KeoghImage source, Rex Features

There's not much happening at the DW Stadium either since half-time.

As things stand Wigan will slip back to 23rd in the table and the Latics will be two points from safety.

Derby will be one point off the play-offs if they can hold on for a fifth consecutive win.

  15. Postpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Norwich 2-0 Brentford

It's a fairly settled game at Carrow Road, where Norwich look like they will end their run of five straight defeats.

Brentford forward Scott Hogan thought he had broken the offside trap to get through on goal moments ago, but the linesman's flag was up.

    Cardiff 0-0 Brighton

We have started again in the second half in the Championship at Cardiff.

Brighton know a goal will take them to the top of the table after Newcastle lost last night.

The game in Wales is the only match without a goal so far this afternoon. Can someone break the deadlock?

Leeds v Aston Villa (17:30 GMT)

    Elland RoadImage source, Getty Images

Don't forget we'll bring you live text coverage of the evening kick-off later on, as Leeds United host Aston Villa.

So regularly a top-flight fixture, this is the first league meeting between the teams since 2004 - and the first in the second tier since 1987-88.

Leeds have won four of their last five games while Villa are yet to taste defeat in seven outings since Steve Bruce took charge in October.

  19. The half-time scores in League Twopublished at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

So, 3-0 looks a popular half-time scoreline in the fourth tier.

Doncaster Rovers are heading to the summit of League Two as things stand, leading at Stevenage after three goals in 11 first-half minutes.

Donny have kept up their record of scoring in every league game this season.

And Yeovil Town are in front against Crawley Town by the same scoreline - a result that'd move them to seventh.

  20. The Championship's half-time headlinespublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Ed BallsImage source, Rex Features
    • Ed Balls, at Carrow Road for the first time in a wee while after his stint on Strictly, will be pleased to see his Norwich City side are 2-0 up against Brentford and on their way to ending a five-game losing streak.
    • Brighton, who would go top of the table with victory today, are currently being held 0-0 in a scrappy game at Cardiff City.
    • Derby seem to be continuing their recent good form under Steve McClaren, leading at Wigan Athletic thanks to Bradley Johnson's header.
    • Sheffield Wednesday, as it stands, are heading for the top six as they lead Preston, while high-flyers Birmingham and Reading both trail at half-time.
