Approaching the 70-minute mark in many of our games.

Still plenty of time for the complexion of the Championship top six to change. Who will make themselves a hero?

  2. Manager sent off at Nottspublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    League Two latest

Notts County haven't had much to smile about of late, 21st in League Two as it stands and without a league win in five games.

That's likely to become six games, as they are two goals down at home to Wycombe and down to ten men.

If you thought it couldn't get any worse, manager John Sheridan has been sent to the stands for his complaints about Scott Kashket's goal for the visitors - might the Wycombe man have been offside?

One team who are having a good time of it today are Cambridge, who have scored four second-half goals to lead hosts Hartlepool 4-0.

Plymouth meanwhile have extended their lead against leaders Doncaster, going 2-0 up thanks to a penalty from Jake Jervis. Argyle going top as it stands.

    Newcastle United 3-0 Birmingham City

Dwight Gayle is determined to finish today with the match ball.

He comes close again to his hat-trick as he's played in on goal only for Tomasz Kuszczak to once again deny him with a cracking save in the Birmingham goal.

  4. Comeback on at Molineux?published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Wolves 2-3 Fulham

Full-back Matt Doherty has just scored for Wolves - smashing in from close range.

25 minutes left in the West Midlands.

  5. goal

GOAL (Wells)published at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Huddersfield 2-1 Bristol City

Nahki Wells nips in for a second goal of the afternoon to put Huddersfield back ahead.

Sloppiness at the back from Bristol City is pounced on by the Terriers striker as he robs a short back-pass off the feet of Frank Fielding and taps into an empty net.

  6. Bury sunk by Pirates?published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

It all started so well today for Bury, who are hoping to avoid an 11th consecutive league defeat.

Unfortunately for the Shakers, Matty Taylor scored his 16th goal of the season before half-time to put Bristol Rovers 2-1 up, after Rory Gaffney had drawn the Pirates level.

There is at least one shock brewing in League One though, as leaders Scunthorpe are now 2-0 down at Rochdale, with Oliver Rathbone getting the hosts' second goal.

  8. goal

GOAL (Beerens)published at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Reading 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Deadlock finally broken at the Madejski Stadium through Roy Beerens for Reading.

The Dutchman's speculative effort takes a huge deflection and leaves Kieren Westwood helpless in the Wednesday goal.

A scrappy one in a scrappy game.

    Quote Message

It's a huge deflection, I'm not even sure it was going in. It was good for Reading that Sheffield Wednesday got a sniff in the first half, all they were concerned about was not conceding. Now they've come out and think they can nick this game. They've got the first goal, which is so important.

  9. Championship latestpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

Three early second half goals to tell you about in the second tier.

Ipswich have equalised against Cardiff - Luke Varney with the goal.

Scott Hogan has his second of the afternoon and 13th league goal of the season for Brentford to put them 2-1 up against Burton.

Norwich have pulled one back at Barnsley - Nelson Oliveira with a 25-yard strike into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.

Plenty to talk about already in the early stages of the second half at Huddersfield...

  11. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Reading 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Big chance for visitors Wednesday at Reading.

Lucas Joao seems destined to put The Owls ahead, but he drags his one on one wide of the goal as he's played in.

  12. goal

GOAL (Gouffran)published at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Newcastle United 3-0 Birmingham City

Terrible start to the second half for Birmingham, who had made a double change in a bid to stem Newcastle's dominance.

But, they concede an early free-kick and Yoan Gouffran finishes off Jonjo Shelvey's ball into the area.

The Magpies returning to the top of the Championship in style it would appear.

  13. Match abandoned at Newportpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Newport 1-0 Morecambe

Newport had looked set to climb out of the League Two relegation zone, but the weather in Wales has other ideas.

Their game with Morecambe has been called off at half-time because of a waterlogged pitch.

Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers (17:30 GMT)

A tea time Lancashire derby to come in the Championship once all the action is done in our 15:00 GMT kick-offs.

Rovers are looking for a vital three points to claw themselves away from the bottom three and also take the local bragging rights.

Preston are hoping to put the nightmare of last weekend's defeat against Sheffield Wednesday behind them, which also saw strikers Jermaine Beckford and Eoin Doyle for fighting each other on the pitch.

Josh Hunt will be your man to guide you through it all later right here.

  18. First red card of the daypublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Gwion EdwardsImage source, Rex Features

Notts County have had a difficult first 45 minutes at home to Wycombe, as they trail 1-0 to Gareth Ainsworth's play-off chasing side in League Two.

The next 45 could be even tougher, as Michael O'Connor has been shown a straight red card for a foul just before half-time.

In League One, the game between Peterborough and Chesterfield is turning into a bit of a thriller, with Gwion Edwards scoring to get Posh level at 2-2 at the break.
