    Huddersfield 1-0 Bristol City

The returning Tommy Smith delivers a stunning ball into the Bristol City area after finding space down the right side.

Elias Kachunga is there to head in his deep cross from five yards out. Advantage Huddersfield.

    Newcastle 0-0 Birmingham

Five-year-old Bradley Lowery might be a Sunderland fan but St James' Park reverberated with a minute of applause from the Newcastle fans.

The County Durham boy's family have been told his neuroblastoma condition is terminal.

  3. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Newcastle United 0-0 Birmingham City

First action of note at St James' Park where Newcastle winger Matt Ritchie fires in a dangerous ball to the Birmingham six-yard box and for half a second Mo Diame looked set to poke home the opening goal.

Birmingham scramble it clear through Michael Morrison.

  4. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Huddersfield 0-0 Bristol City

No goals as yet in our three feature games but an early half-chance for Nakhi Wells and Huddersfield as the striker plays a one-two with Elias Kachunga before just lobbing a shot over the bar.

Looks like the Terriers mean business.

It's all over in the match between rivals MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon in League One.

Dean Bowditch's second-half spot kick was the difference giving new manager Robbie Neilson a win in his first league game in charge.

Right, still a chance to get that kettle on, but as Robbie Williams once sang, "don't be long".

    Kick-off is just moments away.

    Jaap StamImage source, Rex Features

"Hopefully last week at Fulham (a 5-0 defeat) was a one-off and everyone realises that we need to work harder and perform better than we did last Saturday," the Dutchman told BBC Radio Berkshire.

"The attitude has been great throughout the whole season and we've bounced back with wins after previous defeats, so hopefully we can do that again.

"People have been very honest with how they've performed and mentally the focus has been there.

"Sheffield Wednesday are a quality side who are right up there at the moment and we know they will be hard to get a result against."

  13. Young English talent key to Reading successpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

Reading v Sheffield Wednesday (15:00 GMT)

If you missed one game through suspension - having previously helped your side to five consecutive victories - and your team got walloped 5-0, you would be pretty confident of getting your centre-back spot back.

Reading will welcome back Liam Moore with open arms this afternoon as they face fellow play-off challengers Sheffield Wednesday at the Madejski Stadium.

He joined Reading from Leicester City in the summer, alongside fellow English talent in John Swift and Tyler Blackett. They have made a big impression.

"The club have gone out and looked at players that can go out and get results now, but also improve," said the 23-year-old. "I think that's impressive."

Jaap Stam saw his third-placed Reading side brought back down to earth with a bang during a 5-0 defeat at Fulham last Saturday.

The Royals had won five in a row before the thumping in west London.

Wednesday, just three points behind in sixth, can climb above Reading with victory.

Last season's Championship play-off finalists come into the game following back-to-back wins against Preston and Wolves.

"Huddersfield are a really tough side," Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol.

"They've had a run of form similar to us.

"But they're an excellent side. They'll be confident, going into the game.

"These are two really evenly-matched sides and it is a good challenge for us."

  16. Terriers look to return to promotion packpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

Huddersfield Town v Bristol City (15:00 GMT)

    David WagnerImage source, Rex Features

Back to one of our three feature games at 15:00 GMT where Huddersfield attracted all the plaudits for their climb to the top of the Championship in the opening months of the season.

No victory in their past five matches has seen David Wagner's side slip out of the play-off picture to eighth, but they could return to the top six today with a win.

Bristol City meanwhile are seeking more consistency in the week boss Lee Johnson extended his contract to 2020.

But life on the road has been tough this season for the Robins after losing four of the past five Championship away games.

Norwich make one change from the 5-0 thumping of Brentford - Josh Murphy is in for Gary Naismith, so he joins his twin brother Jacob in the team.

Brentford v Burton: Andreas Bjelland and Josh McEachran come into the Bees side for Josh Clarke and Lasse Vibe.

Damien McCrory in for Tom Naylor is the one change for Burton.
