Mignolet or Karius for Liverpool?published at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

MJC1973: Mignolet has disappointed consistently over three years, Karius only over 2 months. Don't agree with change but in Jurgen we trust.

Rob James: Good call by Klopp, Mignolet a much better keeper than Karius, prone to errors yes but look at his clean sheet ratio.

Man City v Watford (20:00 GMT)

So the big news from the Manchester City teamsheet is that the name of John Stones is listed under the substitutes.

Centre-back Nicolas Otamendi comes back in after a one-match ban as Pep Guardiola makes five changes from the 4-2 defeat at Leicester.

Left-back Gael Clichy, central midfielder Yaya Toure, winger Raheem Sterling and forward Nolito also start.

And there is also a glaring omission in the Watford side. Captain Troy Deeney drops to the bench after failing to score in his last eight matches.

Odion Ighalo and Jerome Sinclair - his first start since arriving from Liverpool in the summer - form a new-look strike partnership for the Hornets, while winger Roberto Pereyra and defender Daryl Janmaat return.

West Brom v Swansea (20:00 GMT)

First thing's first. The team news.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis had named the same starting XI for five successive league matches - their longest run of having an unchanged side in the Premier League - but the Welshman is forced into changing his line-up tonight because of the suspension of Craig Dawson.

Jonas Olsson replaces Dawson, with Nacer Chadli coming in for Jonny Evans as Pulis plays a 4-5-1 formation.

West Brom XI: Foster, Nyom, McAuley, Olsson, Brunt, Fletcher, Yacob, Phillips, Morrison, Chadli, Rondon.

  11. 'United moving in the right direction'published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

Crystal Palace v Man Utd (20:00 GMT)

    Simon Brotherton
    Match of the Day commentator

Manchester United travel south on the back of a big win over Tottenham, knowing they need to keep winning to stay in touch with those above in the fight for a top-four place.

United seem to be moving in the right direction at the moment and now trail Spurs by just three points and neighbours Manchester City by six.

They're unbeaten in the last 14 league meetings with Crystal Palace too, a run stretching back 25 years.

Alan Pardew's team have taken four points from the last couple of games. It's helped ease the pressure on the manager, but they've been leaking like a sieve at the back recently and that needs to change if they are to get anything here.

  12. 'Klopp right to drop Karius'published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Middlesbrough v Liverpool (19:45 GMT)

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker at Selhurst Park, BBC Radio 5 live

Some people will question whether Jurgen Klopp has relented under pressure but it is probably the right time to take Loris Karius out of the firing line.

He has not played well and there have been question marks for a few weeks.

I don't think Karius inspires confidence for those in front of him.

On current form it is probably the right decision.

It promises to be an emotional night at the Stadium of Light tonight for reasons away from football.

You may remember in September, Everton donated £200,000 to a cancer treatment fund for Sunderland mascot Bradley Lowery.

Last week, Bradley's parents announced, external the heartbreaking news that the five-year-old's cancer is terminal and has been told he only has months to live.

Bradley will again lead Sunderland out at the Stadium of Light tonight as mascot for their game against Chelsea and has just scored past Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic in the pre-match warm-up.

A Christmas card campaign has also been set up by an Everton fan and Bradley has now received more than 11,000 cards from well-wishers. Watch more in the video below.

  17. 'Stoke are favourites to beat Southampton'published at 19:08 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Stoke v Southampton (20:00 GMT)

    Tony Husband
    Match of the Day commentator

These two sides sit side by side in the Premier League, and the table doesn't lie when it comes to this pair.

Stoke have recovered from a poor start to lose only two of their last 10.

There's a lot of talk about a lack of atmosphere at the Bet 365 Stadium this season. It's hardly a fortress; Mark Hughes' side have won only three times in seven home outings.

Nothing should surprise us about Southampton's campaign. Claude Puel has rotated his way to an EFL Cup semi-final and 10th place in the table but fans were bitterly disappointed to exit Europe last week.

Their season has been marked by some indifferent away performances, so Stoke start favourites for me in this one.
