It is important today that Plymouth really concentrate and defend properly from set pieces. If Liverpool open you up with crisp passing then you say 'fair play, we've been undone by top-level players'.

But you don't want to be gifting Liverpool anything, and so far Plymouth have done very well.

As another Liverpool corner is headed clear, it's worth nothing that Plymouth front man Paul Garita has had a whopping three touches so far.

W&A Reds: Klopp showing how weak his squad is. United made 9 changes and still had 11 full internationals to play.  

Strawberry Blonde: People complain a lot these days about the lack of chances youth players get. But now Klopp has done that it's disrespectful?

There's being eager and then there's just tackling your own team-mates. Three Plymouth players conspire to run into one another in midfield, allowing Emre Can to race clear with the ball and slide Ben Woodburn into the channel. The teenager shows slick balance to craft the ball onto his left peg but his shot is saved by Plymouth keeper Luke McCormick.

As the Sunday league shout goes, "put a name on it lads".

Sheyi Ojo has a free header in the six-yard box but makes no contact. Emre Can's free-kick was bravely blocked and as the ball was tossed in, only Ojo was on hand. It had to be... but wasn't.

Ben Woodburn spots a runner nicely and picks out a pass of accuracy, the home side force a corner.

It's their fourth one already. As Alberto Moreno delivers cries of "get up, get up, get up" can be heard. They do and the ball is nodded to the edge of the box where a foul gives Liverpool a shooting chance. Emre Can and Alberto Moreno want to take this...

There is a lot of hype surrounding young Ben Woodburn, aged just 17. He tempts Gary Miller into going for a ball he cannot win and draws the foul. Liverpool probe as Plymouth's fans sing "this is a library". 

Alberto Moreno finds Woodburn who almost gives the library life with a fine ball into the box. It's cleared, but Liverpool will come forward again... Kevin Stewart from range... dragged wide.

Plymouth will take note early on how dangerous Liverpool can be.

One minute Plymouth have a throw in the Liverpool defensive third and the next Liverpool are breaking down the right and Trent Alexander-Arnold is putting in a cross.

The quickness and the way they break is excellent at times.

Plymouth will be happy with this so far will they not? They look well organised, though it's early doors I know. As the home side get the ball back, Plymouth drop into a 4-5-1 shape.

Jurgen Klopp is arms-crossed, glaring through his glasses with an intensity and focus.

Those of you who saw Cardiff's defeat to Fulham will have noted the sparse attendance at the Cardiff City Stadium. To offer some context, there are apparently 9,000 Plymouth fans at Anfield today.

A huge roar from the away end as their side enter the Liverpool half, Jake Jervis chases Alberto Moreno deep into the corner and the Spaniard has to find touch. Goodness knows what the fans from the south coast will do if Argyle score...

It's interesting as it will be Sheyi Ojo and the young Ben Woodburn who have the freedom to switch, while Divock Origi will lead the line.

Jurgen Klopp was watching Plymouth in the warm up, it could be quite intimidating having the opposition manager do that.

Lucas and Joe Gomez exchange passes at the back. The Brazilian chips a ball over the top looking for the diagonal run of Sheyi Ojo but it's a fraction out of his reach.

Some terrific noise being made by the Plymouth faithful. They sing: "Where's your famous atmosphere?"
