Cardiff's managerial mob of Neil Warnock, Ronnie Jepson and Kevin Blackwell are in deep conference about a planned change. It will need to be a good one.

  3. Keep the ball runningpublished at 66 mins

    Cardiff City 1-2 Fulham

Fulham pair Tom Cairney and Stefan Johansen have made 177 passes between them.

Cardiff have made 193. That's what you call dominance.

  4. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Cardiff City 1-2 Fulham

Shot on target for Cardiff as former Manchester City midfielder Emyr Huws flies one in from 25 yards but it's always a routine save. Famous last words but it's hard to see a Cardiff goal materialising.

Different levels. Fulham pull and probe and eventually pick Cardiff apart with some super slick passing. Lucas Piazon is eventually played in on goal by Tom Cairney but Brian Murphy is able to smother it.

Cardiff have been lackluster and poor. But Fulham look the business. You can see why Cairney and manager Slavisa Jokanovic have been linked with moves away...

The game is being played in the Cardiff City half.

Fulham are just so comfortable with the ball, they see an easy pass and don't try to complicate things. When they get to the final third, that's when the movement is quicker.

Cardiff are getting a lesson from Fulham on how to keep the ball.

Friday marked 15 years since Cardiff's famous FA Cup win over a Leeds side who were then top of the Premier League.

Ninian Park bristled with a hostile atmosphere on that occasion, but the same strength of feeling is not apparent at Cardiff's new home today.

This is the third successive year the Bluebirds have hosted a third-round tie with a sparse crowd, having played in front of 4,782 against Shrewsbury last season and 4,194 against Colchester in the campaign before that – a record low for football games at this ground.

Can Cardiff mount a comeback here? They'll have to get a foot on the ball first. Fulham popping it around like a hot potato, Cardiff yards off the pace.

Fulham so much better than last year, big respect to Slav. If we can bring in another striker to help plug the gap Dembele and McCormack left, play offs look very much on the cards...

A number of comments about the crowd, or lack of it. Appalling time to hold a match, NO consideration for fans and travel. You reap what you sow.

Midfielder Emre Can is the only player to keep his place from the Sunderland game.

Posh manager Grant McCann said his side will try to mirror Chelsea's "front foot" football.
