  1. goal

GOAL - Cardiff City 1-1 Fulhampublished at 14 mins

    Stefan Johansen

A quality, quality goal. Liquid football from Fulham as they deservedly level. Skipper Tom Cairney starts the move with some deft footwork in the middle and Sone Aluko then whips the pass out wide to free Ryan Fredericks.

The former Spurs full-back does a passable impression of Kyle Walker to skip past Joe Bennett and cut it back to Stefan Johansen, who sidefoots a shot powerfully into the roof of the net.

  2. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

    Cardiff City 1-0 Fulham

Fulham now win a free-kick in a tricky position wide on their right-hand side. Stefan Johansen takes it, looks for the far post and ends up floating it just wide.

  4. 'Poor wall from Fulham'published at 11:41 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2017

It's a poor wall from Fulham, you have to take that one in the face - not turn your back. Once it's taken that deflection there is absolutely no chance for Marcus Bettinelli to get back across to his left-hand side.

Fulham had started well and looked comfortable in possession, but that goal will lift everybody here.

  5. goal

GOAL - Cardiff City 1-0 Fulhampublished at 8 mins

    Anthony Pilkington

Cardiff lead against the run of play! It's a free-kick which Anthony Pilkington lifts into the top of the wall, it takes a chocking great deflection off the side of Lucas Piazon and flies into the opposite corner.

The goal is greeted with a ripple of applause from the sparse crowd. Think a cover drive at a County Championship game. Thursday morning.

    Cardiff City 0-0 Fulham

Fulham are playing with no real striker today. They do have Chris Martin on loan from Derby but he wants to go back to Derby, which has led to a sort of Mexican standoff.

He is not playing for anyone at the moment but you'd imagine that must be resolved soon.

    Cardiff City 0-0 Fulham

Greg Halford, who must be chasing Steve Claridge down in terms of number of clubs, makes his Cardiff debut today. He's started in a back three and makes a commanding clearance.

  9. 'This isn't a priority for either'published at 11:34 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2017

    Cardiff 0-0 Fulham

    Iwan Roberts
Former Wales striker and BBC pundit

They both come into this game in good form.

I think we are right to say that this isn't a priority for either. Fulham with an eye on a play-off position and Cardiff looking to get a little further away from the relegation zone.

    Cardiff City 0-0 Fulham

Fulham have regularly been having 70% possession or more this season and their opening passage of play is lovely stuff, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass and move with Tom Cairney eventually threading a ball to Ryan Fredericks who is tackled.

The record lowest football attendance at Cardiff City Stadium is 4,194, set in the third round of the FA Cup against Colchester two years ago.

Judging by this scene moments before kick-off, that record could be under threat today.
