Manchester United have won the League Cup on four occasions, but not since 2010.

In 1992 they beat Nottingham Foreset with a single Brian McClair goal, but there was then a lengthy wait until they saw off Wigan in Cardiff in 2006.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men then won it in back-to-back seasons at the new Wembley, beating Tottenham on penalties in 2009 and then Aston Villa 2-1 in 2010.

If a trip to Old Trafford in the foothills of a relegation battle wasn't tough enough, Hull manager Marco Silva reportedly had just 15 players, external available for tonight's game.

Injury and a few trips to the African Cup of Nations have left the Tigers' cupboard looking threadbare.

Still, these things are sent to test us, right?

A major absentee from the Manchester United starting line-up tonight as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not named.

Other than when he was suspended against Arsenal in November, the Swede has been involved in every game this season.

United manager Jose Mourinho named Ibrahimovic along with Antonio Valencia, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera as players who would definitely return after missing Saturday's FA Cup win against Reading.

The absence does mean Wayne Rooney starts - and gets a chance to score his record 250th United goal.
