And that ladies and gentlemen is that.

Thank you for all your tweets today, we hope you got what you needed and more from this live text. Chelsea brush off the Diego Costa stories and league defeat to Tottenham emphatically. They were slick, solid and in my view at least, had another gear to go to if needed.

It's over to Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City on Sunday. A huge day awaits and we trust you'll join us again.

For now, goodnight. Go and indulge in a Saturday night treat.

Sorry Watford fans, sorry Boro fans. Still, if you play out a 0-0, perhaps you know it's coming.

Make sure you tune in folks, for Andy Carroll's goal alone.

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte talking to the BBC about striker Diego Costa's absence: "Diego stopped his training on Tuesday because he felt a pain in his back and from that moment he didn't train."

On the reports of a bust-up and interest from China: "In this situation you can listen to a lot of things. In my experience as a coach if there are the problems you solve them in the changing room not the press conference. I don't know anything about the reports of Costa to China. The truth is what I told you before."

Asked if Costa is fit for the next match whether the Spain international will play: "I don't know. We'll see during the week."

Scrolling through the images today, I like the way Marcos Alonso ended his celebration run with a mini jump. A celebration with a bit of this and a bit of that included and thankfully, nothing pre-worked on the training ground in Cobham.

  7. 'Great spirit'published at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Leicester 0-3 Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte talks about Chelsea's performance on BT Sport: "A good performance because it’s not easy to come here, play the champions and win in this way. I’m pleased with all my players, we showed great spirit, all the players tried to help each other with the ball and without the ball. After the defeat to Spurs we started in the right way."

  8. 'I told the truth'published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Leicester 0-3 Chelsea

Antonio Conte speaks about Diego Costa on BT Sport amid rumors of a bid from China for the left-out striker: "I think before the game I told the truth and I repeat the truth because I like to and I don’t lie. Diego stopped his training Tuesday because he felt a pain in his back, for this reason he was not available. This is the truth."

Was there a clash? Did he refuse to play? "I don’t know about this because I repeat the truth is what I told you before. Now we see in the next week."

Has there been an offer from China? "I don’t know anything about this, no.

Will you talk to Roman Abramovich or Costa? "I think that you said if there are problems, I prefer to solve them in the changing room not at a press conference if, and I repeat if, there are problems."

  10. Pressure, pressure, pressurepublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Leicester 0-3 Chelsea

Today's results heap pressure on Manchester United and Liverpool ahead of their match tomorrow. Manchester City, too, will have to respond.

Should Liverpool win at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho's side would be 13 points off top spot with 17 games to go.

  12. 'A good performance'published at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Leicester 0-3 Chelsea

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri speaks to BT Sport: "Today we made a good performance but we lost, and that is football. The changes I made were effective, if you take out the first two goals we played at same level as them. We played counter-attack and pressed high, but it we had not conceded those goals it would have been another match.

"We didn’t lose focus, we had to stay very attentive in the box because they move so well. With Pedro, Hazard and Willian we did well but we should have closed the other players down better."

There are many examples of a transformed Chelsea. Pedro is one illustration.

He has now been directly involved in more Premier League goals this season than the whole of last term, with 10 – five goals, five assists.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill talking to BT Sport: "Diego is a massive player for us, he wasn’t there today but we put Pedro, Hazard and Willian up there instead and it is hard to defend against talent like that. We are delighted with that result."

Goalscorer Marcos Alonso speaking to the BBC about Diego Costa's absence:

"You guys made up the story. Diego wasn't feeling well because of his back. He's very happy and will have a great enough season at Chelsea."

Dare we say it, Leicester have maybe found a player who can at least replace the N'Golo Kante workrate.

Nampalys Mendy ran 12.33km today, that's more than anyone else on the pitch.

Nemanja Matic clocked 11.94km for Chelsea.

Matic was very good, playing a game-high 96 passes and completing 84%.

BBC Sport presenter Jacqui Oatley makes a good point. One wonders if chairmen and owners are suddenly thinking they can bank the money for such star names and feel no major setback?
