Nigel Radcliffe: For the neutral this is pretty tawdry stuff. Tidy, organised, disciplined. Only the technically minded will appreciate any of it.

Max Ambrose: One of the poorest halves of football I've seen in a while. Huddersfield are all go and no finish, Reading are boring.

Let's hope for an improvement then, eh? Listen to BBC Radio 5 live commentary by clicking the audio icon at the top of the page.

First effort of the second half goes to Huddersfield left-back Chris Lowe, who fires straight at Ali Al-Habsi from 30 yards out.

    Easy for the Oman international.

Fresh from their set at Radio 1's big weekend, Reading rock band The Amazons have found themselves a place to watch the game.

Huddersfield get us back under way for the second half.

Fans of both sides are prepping themselves for a nervy 45 minutes. Or will it be 75 minutes? Or maybe even more? If it does go to penalties, it will only be the third time the Championship play-off final has been decided like that.

I imagine David Wagner will be happy with what he has seen from his players so far, we're seeing wonderful defensive structure from his side.

Rajiv van La Parra is having the game of his Huddersfield Town life too.

  6. Restless Stam hoping for morepublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 29 May 2017

    Ian Woodcock

Reading boss Jaap Stam has scarcely stopped moving around his technical area so far.

The Dutchman's team have been very much on the back foot so far and, Lewis Grabban's effort aside, they have struggled to make any inroads on the Town goal.

He'll be hoping his side can enforce themselves on the game more in the second period.

  7. A flipbook yellow cardpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 29 May 2017

    Tim Dellor
Reading commentator for BBC Radio Berkshire

Joey van den Berg needs to be really careful, he's on a yellow card and keeps leaving a trailing leg in challenges. Don't be surprised if he's substituted at half-time.

Here's his tackle on Elias Kachunga, for which he received that booking, in full, flowing motion...

The big talking point of the first half - that miss by Izzy Brown.

Neither he nor anyone else in the stadium can quite believe that he missed that chance. But he did and now he has to put that to the back of his mind and continue.

The 20-year-old is on loan from Chelsea, and has scored five goals in 20 games for the Terriers and is highly thought of at Stamford Bridge.

Just don't tell Antonio Conte about today...

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

The three Reading centre-backs are static on the ball, so it's easy for the wing-backs to be marked.

I think Jaap Stam has to look at a change of system. Huddersfield's system is killing their system.

When Reading do give it away, and they are giving it away a lot, Kachunga, Wells and van La Parra are three against three.

Reading will go in at half-time feeling like they have come through an absolute barrage in the opening 30 minutes.

Huddersfield - well Izzy Brown will be hoping his miss does not come back to cost his side.

There was energy, passion, frantic decision-making and some visible nerves on display for the first part of that opening 45 minutes.

The second part was more calm and collected.

There's undoubtedly a goal in this one, but arguably there should have already been a couple for the side from West Yorkshire.

Dan Washbourne: Not that these things are any indication in a play-off, but Huddersfield are playing more like a Premier League team so far.

Mark Elmer: Shame both teams cancelling each other out probably realise what's at stake now.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 29 May 2017

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Reading win a corner, which is cleared and is the final act of the first half. This game needs a goal.

We're into two minutes of added time and Huddersfield winger Rajiv van La Parra does everything right to get space down the left wing, but overhits the cross.

There's a quirky little feature on the big screen here today where every so often the pulse-rates of a select number of fans from either side in the crowd are displayed.

The most recent ranged from 125bpm to just 75bpm.

Now I've got a slow resting heartbeat, but someone might want to check if that particular spectator is still awake.

What's going through the minds of this pair?

David Wagner will be wanting to see more of the Huddersfield we saw in the first 15 minutes, while Jaap Stam will just want his Reading side to actually create a proper chance.

  16. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

It's all gone a little scrappy now, with both sides really unable to get a stranglehold on things.

Are they holding on for half-time? The attacking intent has gone.

  17. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Joey van den Berg has a crack for Reading. It's miles over the bar.

Then Huddersfield go down the other end and Izzy Brown, of THAT miss fame, wins a corner off Danny Williams, but the delivery is too long for everyone.

  18. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Reading win a free-kick about 40 yards out and midfielder John Swift decides to have a strike at goal.

    It's nowhere near the target.

If it goes in, it's one of the best goals Wembley's ever seen, but it doesn't.

Reading have had a lot of possession in the last few minutes but haven't really done much with it.

That has been one criticism of Jaap Stam's style of football.

  20. 'Town pressing paying off'published at 33 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

From my information, what David Wagner does is he has two 'fight-zone' areas where his Huddersfield team set up to press the other team.

One is where they press very high, and one is where they drop very deep.

Certainly the fight-zones have been very effective so far.
