Absolute non-stop physicality in this one.

Three yellow cards already inside 30 minutes. The odds on this one finishing 11 v 11 are shortening by the minute.

Grant Anderson: Loving the Dortmund vibes in this Huddersfield team. Did Wagner design the yellow and black away kit too?

  3. YELLOW CARD (Hogg)published at 29 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

It's getting a little heated now and Jonathan Hogg, although he's not happy with it, is booked for a late tackle on Reading's Danny Williams.

Interesting to see how that battle between the two 'enforcers' develops now.

  4. Plenty of moves still to be madepublished at 28 mins

Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

It's a chess match at the moment, and you feel that David Wagner has got a few of Jaap Stam's pieces in his pocket. They should be 2-0 up.

A little lull in play now.

Izzy Brown isn't having the best of it at the moment and he just gives away a free-kick in the middle of the park.

This game has so far followed a similar pattern to last year's final between Hull and Sheffield Wednesday.

It was Wednesday that made all the early running in that one but with no goal to show for it.

Huddersfield and Izzy Brown in particular will hope history isn't set to repeat itself.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Chris Lowe is OK to continue, and wins a corner for Huddersfield when he whips a ball into the area which a Royals defender can only head behind.

That corner, though, is cleared by Yann Kermorgant.

  9. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Huddersfield left-back Chris Lowe is down writhing in pain after stretching to tackle Reading's Chris Gunter.

It gives the other players a chance for a rest, to take stock on what has been a frenetic opening period, and as the clock strikes 22 the fans pay tribute to those involved in the Manchester attacks with a round of applause.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Huddersfield captain Tommy Smith is back on his feet and plays a delightful ball through to Nahki Wells, who in turn tries to cross to Aaron Mooy, but a Reading defender hooks the ball away before the Australian can get there.

So far, Huddersfield have had the better of the game.

  11. YELLOW CARD (Kermorgant)published at 19 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

The second yellow card in as many minutes for Reading and this time it's striker Yann Kermorgant who's into the referee's book for a daft challenge on Tommy Smith.

Huddersfield left-back Chris Lowe takes the free-kick, but it evades everyone and goes out for a goal kick.

Stupid tackle from Joey van den Berg.

He has two goes at Elias Kachunga before bringing down the Huddersfield forward, getting a yellow card for his trouble and giving away a free-kick in a good position for a cross.

Sometimes finals take a while to get going. Not this one.

Reading are finally getting a little bit of the ball now. I think Jaap Stam is telling them to stick to their old game: patience and possession.

There were gasps of astonishment all around the press box at that Izzy Brown miss for Huddersfield.

In real time, it looked simple to finish. Huddersfield with all the early running here and Reading are rattled.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Two early chances for Huddersfield to go ahead but Reading go down the other end and Lewis Grabban fires a warning shot, which just curls wide of the mark.

Keeper Danny Ward probably had it covered.

I have no idea how he's missed it.

He's just got to guide that in to an empty net, and it's hit his shin.

We can't all do it, can we?

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

    WHAT. A. MISS.

After stunning work from Tommy Smith and Elias Kachunga down the right for Huddersfield, the latter gets free in the box and plays a ball across the face of goal for Izzy Brown.

Brown is two metres out, maximum, and has an open goal to shoot at, but he fires it wide. He missed a similar one in the semi-final against Sheffield Wednesday.

Yann Kermorgant is Reading's top scorer this season and was their match-winner in the play-off semi-final against Fulham.

The Reading fans have faith in the Frenchman producing the goods at Wembley today. He's yet to really have a sniff of the ball.
