    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Reading go straight down the other end and find Lewis Grabban on the wing, but his cross into the area is then cleared.

Huddersfield then attack themselve through Nahki Wells, winning a corner which Reading manage to clear. A breathless start to the affair.

He should have scored, it's a great opportunity.

He just doesn't get enough on it, not enough purchase, it's a terrible header.

    First chance!

Huddersfield win a free-kick on the left-hand side, which Aaron Mooy delivers into the area towards defender Michael Hefele, but the big German's header is just wide of the target. He looks a little gutted with himself there.

Early nerves from Ali Al-Habsi in the Reading goal as he plays the ball out for a throw in under pressure from Rajiv van La Parra.

Great closing down by the Huddersfield winger.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Two minutes in and I'm not entirely sure anyone on either side has taken two successive touches so far. It's all a little nervy at the moment.

But the atmosphere in Wembley, from both sets of fans, is as you'd expect, superb.

After the most impeccably held minute's silence I think I've ever heard, we're moments away from kick off.

After a resounding chorus of 'God Save the Queen', we're about to have a minute's silence for those involved in the Manchester attacks last week.

Both teams are wearing black armbands as well.

David Wagner wearing a suit. I have never seen that before. He loves a tracksuit. This is weird.

Now we've got the National Anthem. Time to belt your hearts out, lads.

For the big occasions, the fans always provide.

Huddersfield fans have gone for cards producing a yellow and black stripe, like their kit today, and incidentally that of the David Wagner's old club Borussia Dortmund.

Reading have gone for a card show that produces the word 'Royals'. Both look brilliant.

The winner on the day will be the team that plays its normal game under intense pressure, and that includes the build-up.

Through a season, you can ruin it in 10 days' preparation and your team not playing in the right way.

To win the game, David Wagner has to take risks with his team. I don't think Jaap Stam does. Jaap can be patient and can hit them on the transition.

The teams are walking out onto the Wembley pitch now.

What must be going through their minds? Nerves? Excitement? A bit of both?

For Aaron Mooy, this moment is about making sure Huddersfield's mascot enjoys his day at Wembley. A lovely image.

    Huddersfield v Reading (15:00 BST)

The 10-year-old son of late Reading academy director Eamonn Dolan will lead out Jaap Stam's men onto the pitch before the game today.

Seamus Dolan will be the club's official mascot in tribute to his father, who died of cancer almost a year ago.

The Irishman brought hundreds of players through the Royals' academy during more than a decade with the club, including Steve Sidwell, Shane Long and Jem Karacan.

The club also named a stand of the Madejski Stadum after Dolan at the start of last season.

  14. Payne: 'People keeping doubting us'published at 14:52 British Summer Time 29 May 2017

    Huddersfield v Reading (15:00 BST)

Huddersfield Town's Jack Payne has played his part in helping the Terriers to Wembley, including scoring the winner away at Newcastle way back in August.

The midfielder, who has missed out on a place in the squad today, told BBC Radio Leeds: “We’ve come so far, so we don’t want to stop here.

"People keep doubting us and we keep proving them wrong.

“Obviously I’m gutted to miss out, but I’ve got some unbelievable players in my position and I hope they do the job, I’ve got all my trust in them so I know it should be good."

Reading captain Paul McShane is suspended for the final after being sent off in the first leg of their semi-final win over Fulham, but he's been talking to BBC Radio 5 live before the game:

"It's been a long wait from the semi-final to the final, but now the lads are fully focused on the job ahead.

"The end of last season was really disappointing and I think the lads were just looking forward to the end.

"Coming into pre-season with the new manager, I've always said that football changes really quickly and you've got to keep the faith that you will turn things around.

"The manager's come in, he's been fantastic, the lads have bought in to what he's doing, and we are where we are today and I think we deserve it."
