    BBC Radio 5 live

Ian Dennis: "My opinion is, the difference between goal line technology is, subjective/ objective.

"Seven out of 10 decisions will be correct but the three that will be incorrect all hell will break loose.

"You wait and see. It's still open to interpretation and therefore human error."

Chris Waddle: "I think just try it and see what happens."

  3. 'We had more legs'published at 22:31 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    France 3-2 England

France coach Didier Deschamps: "It was a disaster scenario for us. We ended up with 10, so credit the players, because it's a nice English team. After going down to 10, we even had more opportunities than them ... It is good to finish on this.

"Today we have had more legs."

You (the English media and fans) are a bit harsh but I can understand it.

The players are much better than the performances.

I don't know if it's the players, the manager? But something needs to be done.

Think tonight was a game too far for this England team. Think we have a core of great players to build around but we won't win a thing we these central defenders. Cahill exposed and how stones fetched £50m I'll never know. Awful defender. The sad thing is not sure who else Gareth can call on?

Probably sage advice when discussing an England friendly to be honest. But have a watch of the pre-match tribute here if you missed it earlier on.

I think this just proves that its not the talent that is the issue in English football, if we can win the under 20's World Cup, then surely we have to look at the reasons as to why players stop performing the minute they get to the senior team, maybe the attitude of the clubs towards playing for England rubs off on the players

We did come up an excellent side tonight but it's not just about this game.

The balance of the side is not right. It's a different game to the Premier League.

A lot of these players are Premier League "plodders". They plod from box to box. International sides are much quicker going forwards.

I don't think it's the attitude - we are just not as good as people make us out to be.

The Premier League might be a fantastic league that happens to be in England but the best players in the Premier League are not English. The truth is, we don't have the squad.

When was the last time England walked off and we thought, "wow what a performance?".

It's been a long, long time.

  19. 'Not good enough'published at 22:06 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    France 3-2 England

England captain Harry Kane on ITV: "Scoring twice in France should be enough. We have got to find a way to win that, we just weren't good enough. They were getting too much space in vital areas, even with 10 men.

"We want to be brave and play from the back and mistakes will happen. It's disappointing. We were in the driver's seat but we didn't step it up another gear.

    "Not good enough."

  20. 'Too much sloppy play'published at 22:05 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    France 3-2 England

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Marseille and England winger for 5 live Sport

These are the levels we have got to aim for. You can't say England are a young side when France are probably younger.

They had pace, know-how, they are streetwise. England were very one paced.

They have not threatened the goal at all - too much sloppy play for me.

France could have scored five or six tonight. When you look at the squads, France could name another 40 players if we are honest. They have dominated with 10 men.

It goes down to styles of play and we don't have the balance right at all.
