  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 32 mins

    France 1-1 England

See you later! Marvellous from Kylian Mbappe as he breezes past both Kieran Trippier Phil Jones with one trick. He is different class.

Into the area, he then tries to beat Tom Heaton at his near post but the Burnley man saves with his shins.

For much of the warm-up tonight, I was watching Mbappe practice his rabonas and that sums up the youthfulness of the man.

Half an hour gone, Gareth Southgate will be largely pleased with what he has seen I would reckon. Disappointed to concede from a set-piece though.

It had been coming. England have looked increasingly uncomfortable at the back and France are flourishing.

England keeper Tom Heaton was unlucky there. It was a fine save from Olivier Giroud's header but the ball fell perfectly for Samuel Umtiti.

France are looking much more dangerous in possession now.

Ted Ditchburn: We don't look bad ...but France look electric.

Mat VP: Giroud either really doesn't want Wenger to sign a new striker or realllllly wants a move to a huge club this summer.

Luke: Giroud is such a different player for France? He's one of the worlds best strikers at international level. Zero blame on Heaton.

Poor touch from John Stones, rescued by Phil Jones, who is having a fine game so far. No, honestly!

It's been a good contest but France have much more time on the ball now.

Olivier Giroud gets a hard time from the French press and some Arsenal support, but he's got 27 goals for his country and that was a cracking header.

Hugo Lloris gets ironic cheers for playing the ball out safely. His mistake with his feet cost France on Friday remember.

It's a good ball in but where are the England defenders? It's a great initial reaction save from Heaton but there were two free French players waiting for the rebound there.

You don't expect England to give set pieces away like that. Terrible goal to give away.

How many times has the suggestion of England playing 3 at the back been poo-pooed by the so called experts, now because of Conte every one is doing it!

GOAL - France 1-1 Englandpublished at 22 mins

    Samuel Umtiti

A cheap equaliser, and it's a first international goal for Samuel Umtiti. A free-kick is whipped in, Olivier Giroud gets free and meets it with a downward header, Tom Heaton makes a very good save but the Barcelona defender is there to sweep home left-footed.

    Good friendly this so far!

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20 mins

    France 0-1 England

France have to make a change at left-back. Lucas Digne replaces Benjamin Mendy. Have you seen those advertising boards recently? They are solid bits of kit, like TVs really. I'm not surprised he was injured.

Chris Harvey: Paul Pogba is the best passer of a football on the planet. Magnificent range.

    France 0-1 England

You can't help but get excited by Kylian Mbappe. He holds the ball up on the right wing, lays it off and seconds later is in the penalty area on the left-hand side. He stands up the England defence with some nifty footwork but the cross eventually is deflected away.

Benjamin Mendy is then sent careering into the advertising boards.

  15. CLOSE!published at 16 mins

    France 0-1 England

Should score! England are caught short on the break and that's the brilliance of Kylian Mbappe, the Thierry Henry clone bursts clear on the left and plays in Ousmane Dembele with a dream of a pass with the outside of his foot.

Dembele has to hit it first time and does - but he slices well wide.

The back three of England has started well but it evaporated there.

  18. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 14 mins

    France 0-1 England

What a finish that is! It won't count, Olivier Giroud is a smidge offside, but he takes the ball on his chest before firing a shot past Tom Heaton and into the top corner. Sensational play. He's not happy, thinks he's onside, but it doesn't get referred to the video ref.

    John Stones just stepped up.

We know Raheem Sterling has pace and ability but sometimes the game passes him by.

However, that was a great backheel and we want to see more of that play from him.

With France playing 4-4-2, they can't get close to England. They are getting very little joy here.

  20. Slick from Englandpublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    France 0-1 England

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stade de France

One or two moments of sloppiness from England early on - but not there. Perfection.

Harry Kane was served on a plate by Ryan Bertrand and it is an ideal start for Gareth Southgate's side.

Gentle atmosphere inside Stade de France but plenty of noise from England's fans after that.
