Sheffield United are extending their League One lead at home to Gillingham, while in League Two Plymouth are gaining ground on Doncaster at the top of the table.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Man Utd

Lee Grant with cat-like reactions to stop a Paul Pogba thunderbolt. Not sure the Stoke keeper knew much about it. He just stood still on his line and blockaded the ball away, cool as you like.

    Andy Carroll (43 mins)

Well, it WAS all Middlesbrough, but they've paid the price for attacking but neglecting their defensive duties as Michail Antonio's shot from distance is pushed to the feet of the unmarked Andy Carroll by Victor Valdes and the striker sidefoots home.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Bournemouth 0-1 Watford

    Another Heurelho Gomes tip-away!

Junior Stanislas gets in the box and his effort takes a massive deflection which the Watford keeper scoops away again.

    Middlesbrough 1-1 West Ham

Since equalising it has been all Middlesbrough in this game.

The hosts put together another attack as the pacy but unpredictable Adama Traore powers past Aaron Creswell but then his cross sails over Alvaro Negredo's head.

    Stoke 1-0 Man Utd

Referee Mark Clattenburg fancies a bit of the action at the bet365 stadium - he gets in the way of a United sideways pass and has to throw himself out the way.

Juan Mata picks it up and feeds in to Paul Pogba, but the Frenchman is offside.

Lee Thompson: Fellaini can't play in the Carrick role, Schweinsteiger would have been a better replacement.

White Lion Radio: United look lost and clueless, Fellaini will be off at half time for Carrick, no fluidity in Utd's play at all.

Darren Millington: Surely Carrick should have started instead of Fellaini ? Carrick far better at passing and controlling the midfield

    Stoke 1-0 Man Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes another decent run into the box but instead of taking a shot, he tries to lay the ball off but the Stoke defence clear their lines. Bit of a waste, that.

United push forward again as Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia work in tandem to feed the ball to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but he can't keep his shot down.

    Chris Brunt (38 mins)

Another excellent goal for the Baggies!

It all starts from Matt Phillips as he gets away down the right and crosses, Vito Mannone palms it to the feet of Nacer Chadli, who smashes onto the crossbar from close range but Chris Brunt is on the rebound to drive in a fine volley.

The Baggies are bouncing. Sunderland look down and out.

  16. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

The home side have the ball in the back of the net. Romelu Lukaku's smacks a low effort from outside the box and it creeps through a crowd of players to strike the bottom of the upright. Ross Barkley is on the rebound and lashes it into the roof of the net, but he's offside.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Watford

Tom Cleverley, on his first start of his loan spell at Watford, drills towards goal but fires just wide from 20 yards out.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Man Utd

Oh heck, it's not Juan Mata's day.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic curls the ball towards the on-rushing Spaniard but Bruno Martins Indi gets in the way and Mata can only toe the ball deep into the stand behind the goal.

    Stoke's lead remains.

    Darren Fletcher (30 mins)

Matt Phillips' blushes are spared thanks to a wonderful strike by Darren Fletcher!

Sunderland fail to clear a corner and the ball is nodded on by Gareth McAuley to Fletcher. Chest, turn, volley and it's in the back of the net. Any striker would love a finish like that.

  20. Postpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    West Brom 0-0 Sunderland

West Brom prevent West Brom from taking the lead! Yes, you read that correctly.

The Baggies look certain to score as Salomon Rondon powers a header goalwards. Vito Mannone is sure to be beaten but he is saved as Matt Phillips manages to get in the way of his team-mate's shot and deflect wide. Unlucky.
