    Stoke 1-0 Man Utd

Marouane Fellaini, making his first start for Man Utd since new year's eve, gets his mahoosive hair on the ball inside the box and tries to head past Lee Grant, but the Stoke keeper gathers comfortably.

    Cristhian Stuani (27 mins)

First shot on target for Middlesbrough results in a goal, and it's a fine move.

From their own half, the home side charge forward through Calum Chambers, who gets down the right before putting the ball on a plate for Cristhian Stuani to tap in from close range.

  4. EFL updatepublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

More misery for Blackburn after Birmingham score the first goal of the afternoon to take the lead at Ewood Park. Rovers are two points from safety in 22nd and are in desperate need of a win. Victory would be Gianfranco Zola's first win as Blues boss.

Championship leaders Newcastle are looking to reclaim top spot from Brighton, who beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 yesterday, but must defeat Rotherham at home to do so, with the score currently 0-0.

League One leaders Sheffield United are looking to bounce back after last Saturday's 4-1 thumping at Walsall ended a six-game winning run. They're locked in at 0-0 at home to Gillingham.

And at the top of League Two, Doncaster and second-placed Plymouth are both hoping the other slips up. Plymouth are 0-0 away to Cheltenham, while leaders Doncaster have just gone ahead at home to Crewe.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    West Brom 0-0 Sunderland

West Brom cranking up the pressure. There are big appeals for a penalty as Salomon Rondon appears to be dragged down by Sunderland's Billy Jones. Nothing given, but replays show the Baggies had a very, very strong shout.

Christian Kabasele puts the visitors ahead!

How have Middlesbrough responded to falling behind? Not great to be honest because they haven't had a sniff of a chance yet. There's a big old gap between Cristhian Stuani and Adama Traore and West Ham are finding it easy to keep them both in check.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Everton are really coming into this one now as a fizzing Ross Barkley effort is deflected wide before Wayne Hennessey saves well from Kevin Miralllas. Will Palace regret not scoring when they were on top?

    Juan Mata OG (18 mins)

Erik Pieters' goal or an own goal? Either way, Stoke are ahead.

The defender squeezes the ball home at the back post, after good build-up play from Marko Arnautovic, but it looks like it's gone in off Juan Mata.

    West Brom 0-0 Sunderland

Midfielder George Honeyman, making his first Premier League start for Sunderland, is evidently keen to make an impression. He seems to be everywhere on the pitch at the moment, trying to make things happen but no goals yet at the Hawthorns.

It is a surprise Carrick is not playing.

Fellaini has taken up that position and I don't think Manchester United are as fluid.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Bournemouth 0-0 Watford

A brilliant tip-away from Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes from a Ryan Fraser header.

It was looping menacingly, so Gomes did well to track back on to his line and get a hand to it and force it over the bar

  14. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Half a shout for a penalty for Everton as Kevin Mirallas gets sandwiched between two defenders as he breaks to the box and tumbles to the floor. He looks at referee Anthony Taylor, but he's not interested.

    Stoke 0-0 Man Utd

Marko Arnautovic is the man at the centre of everything for Stoke at the moment, which is annoying because his name's quite hard to spell.

The Austrian makes sure Antonio Valencia's run up the right-hand side doesn't come to anything by clearing the ball out of play.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Everton were brilliant against Manchester City last time out but they are having to deal with a bit of Crystal Palace pressure at the moment. The hosts almost take the lead but Christian Benteke's effort smashes against the bar.

Palace boss Sam Allardyce will be pleased with what he is seeing from his side so far, they just need that goal.

When Carroll is fit you see what he can do.

That was a bullet header. Carroll seemed to just rise above everyone.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Watford

Bournemouth's Callum Wilson gets his head on a Charlie Daniels cross but his effort goes well wide of the post.

Little Ryan Fraser then paces forward but Younes Kaboul ushers the danger away for Watford.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2017

    Stoke 0-0 Man Utd

Mark Clattenburg's got his book out early. Stoke's Marko Arnautovic gets a yellow after colliding with Ander Herrera.

Paul Pogba sends in the resulting free-kick and although it looks like it's going straight into the hands of Lee Grant, he fumbles it at the last moment.

    Stoke do eventually clear.

    Andy Carroll

The visitors break the deadlock and it is that man Andy Carroll who bags.

Nothing fancy about this strike as he rises to power a trademark header into the back of the net from Manuel Lanzini's corner.
