    James VaughanImage source, Rex Features

The big story of the first half has undoubtedly been James Vaughan's four-goal display in Bury's 4-1 lead over play-off chasing Peterborough in League One.

The Shakers were still on British Summer Time when their last win - a 3-1 away success at MK Dons - came back in September, but they're on course today.

In League Two, leaders Doncaster have come back from a goal down to lead 3-1 at Barnet.

Plymouth were stunned by Stevenage, who did what Liverpool couldn't last weekend by scoring the opener. Argyle scored twice to go in front but Steven Schumacher - a former Everton player, coincidentally - levelled for the visitors before the break.

    • Dwight Gayle has fired his 20th goal of the season to put Newcastle ahead against Brentford, but was later forced off injured.
    • The Yorkshire derby between Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town is goalless, while bottom side Rotherham are beating Norwich, who are also down to 10 men.
    • Elsewhere in the Championship, Wigan Athletic and Fulham are also ahead at half-time.

League Two's leaders Doncaster Rovers were a goal down to John Akinde-inspired Barnet but have since scored three goals without reply.

He's banished that run today though, netting the opener against Doncaster Rovers to take his tally for the season to 18 in 28 games.

But James Coppinger has responded already. Level pegging at the Hive.

With Brighton losing, the Magpies could be going top tonight.
