Having conceded 32 goals in the past 11 games before today, Bury fans have had goals to cheer at the right end of the ground this afternoon.

Four goals in the first half from James Vaughan, after Tom Nichols' opener for Peterborough, put them 4-1 up at half-time and George Miller has scored a fifth.

It'll be their first win in 17 and a tonic for Shakers boss Chris Brass.

    Rotherham 2-1 Norwich

Russell Martin clears off the line from Rotherham sub Jon Taylor and the Millers could have been out of sight against 10 men there.

What a final 10 minutes we have in store.

    Ipswich 3-2 Blackburn

Goals, goals, goals at Portman Road.

Danny Graham has slotted in from the penalty spot after Hope Akpan was fouled by Adam Webster. Might be a little soft, but with 15 minutes to go this game is not over.

Preston are indebted to Nathan Clarke for a clearance from a delivery into the area that would have given an easy tap-in for an onrushing Brighton attacker.

Lasse Vibe is a man on a mission today and nearly puts Brentford in front against Newcastle.

  7. RED CARD (Payne)published at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Huddersfield

If Huddersfield thought their task to get back into the game was difficult, it's just got a little bit harder.

Jack Payne has been sent off for a diving challenge on Sam Hutchinson. That's the first red card of the Terriers midfielder's career.

  8. Grecians march onpublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

Exeter looked like they might end 2016 at the bottom end of the table but they've hit some real form since the end of November - unbeaten in seven before today and with six wins lifting them up to 11th.

It's looking like seven as Reuben Reid's first-half goal has been added to by David Wheeler and they lead Grimsby 2-0.

    Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Hudderfield

Fernando Forestieri comes close to extending Sheffield Wednesday's lead against Huddersfield, after earlier feeling he might have had a penalty.

If it stays the same, Huddersfield and the Owls will be separated by just one point in the play-off places.

    Burton 0-2 Wigan

Callum Connolly is having a Wigan debut to remember.

The Everton loanee had already scored this afternoon and the defender's now bagged his second by heading home Michael Jacobs' corner into the bottom corner.

What a result this could be for Warren Joyce's side.

    Ipswich 3-1 Blackburn

The goals are flying in now.

On Twitter, Ipswich claim it's a goal of the season contender from Tom Lawrence. He's already scored some belters but curls into the top corner from all of 30 yards out.

Blackburn could be on their way to a fifth defeat in nine.

Rotherham 2-1 Norwich; Fulham 2-0 Barnsley

But Norwich's joy is short lived at the New York Stadium, as Tom Adeyemi heads Rotherham United back in front against the 10-man Canaries.

Down at Craven Cottage, meanwhile, Fulham are one of the form sides of the Championship - and they look like they're well on their way to another victory, with Scott Malone's goal putting them 2-0 ahead against Barnsley.

Lasse Vibe has been frustrated by Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow so far today but finally gets the better of him after reacting quickest to Darlow's save from Andreas Bjelland.

    Ross Wallace

Oh my, and right on cue we go goal crazy. This one's a beauty from Ross Wallace, too.

The Sheffield Wednesday midfielder takes aim from about 30 yards and smashes the ball into the top corner.

The hosts are ahead in the Yorkshire derby.

    Callum Robinson

Brighton's 18-match unbeaten run might just be over today.

Callum Robinson is set through, beats Bruno to the ball and fires home into the far corner to give Preston a two-goal advantage against the Championship leaders going into today.

"PNE, PNE, PNE" rings around Deepdale. Newcastle fans will be rubbing their hands at this scoreline.

    Rotherham 1-0 Norwich

Apparently the attendance at Rotherham today is EXACTLY 10,000.

As you can see I'm trying to fill... we've only had two goals in the whole EFL in the second half, going to Bolton and Portsmouth.

  18. Slow startpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Burton 0-1 Wigan

Seems like most teams have left their minds in the dressing room at the start of the second half.

An unusual substitution of note at the Pirelli Stadium. Goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin was replaced at half-time by Steven Bywater. How often does a back-up goalkeeper actually get used?
