The speed - or lack of it - with which Bacary Sagna has moved to take throw-ins in the second half (even before City's second goal) suggests that he'd be perfectly happy to come away with a narrow win. His manager's animated reactions when City give the ball away suggest he feels otherwise.
The sponsors here have given the man-of-the-match award to Joshua King (as at every football ground, it goes to a home player) - but Chris Sutton's not wrong. The little magician David Silva has been at the heart of everything good from City.

It's comfortable for City, who are in complete control. David Silva has run this game from start to finish. He's beautiful to watch. City are up to second and making a big statement, but can they push Chelsea?

Steve Cook knocks a Kevin de Bruyne ball behind for a corner with Raheem Sterling in pursuit. Again the chants of "Sergio, Sergio" ring out from the away end.
The corner is played out to Aleksandar Kolarov on the edge of the area and his thunderous drive is batted away by Artur Boruc. City not done yet.
Bournemouth 0-2 Man City
Manchester City have Bournemouth pegged back now. A move that must have had about 20 passes ends with Raheem Sterling's cross headed away but Leroy Sane picks up the loose ball and smacks an effort against the crossbar.

Mike Collins: Another really poor and lazy game from Toure. Sideways, backwards, shocking foul. Surely his time is up.

Pep Guardiola is very animated on the touchline. His side may have a two-goal lead but he is clearly in no mood for any late drama.

Sweat is dripping from Joshua King's head. They've given this a right good go and they have the chance to make things interesting as Tyrone Mings nods a long throw on inside the box but Willy Cabellero is off his line to grab the ball.

Leroy Sane is bodychecked by Adam Smith and Manchester City have a free-kick on the edge of the Bournemouth box. It's whipped in by David Silva to the back post for Fernandinho, who heads over the bar.

Pep Guardiola responds to that second Manchester City goal by making another change, replacing Yaya Toure with Nicolas Otamendi.
Bournemouth, to their credit, are still pushing. A goal would make for an interesting final quarter of an hour.

"Sergio, Sergio" sing the away fans, and having looked a little rusty for much of the night, their man Aguero is in the right place at the right game. Might the Premier League's dubious goals panel have a look to see who got the final touch?
Yaya Toure also gets a song in his honour from the travelling Mancunians after he is substituted. Already on a booking, and having had a finger-wagging talking-to from Neil Swarbrick a few minutes ago, his withdrawal may have been to pre-emptively avoid a potential red card.

Please let's calm down the Aguero conversation. There is nothing humiliating about three games on the bench. He is professional and excellent

After watching several replays I am convinced that's a Tyrone Mings own goal but it is Sergio Aguero's for now.
Manchester City are heading up to second. Chelsea, put that champagne on ice. The title race still has legs in it.

Sergio Aguero may make the headlines but it should be Raheem Sterling, scintillating down the left side and then it's all about the quality of the delivery. Tyrone Mings has inadvertently put the ball into his own goal but brilliant from Sterling.
Aguero has celebrated like he's scored it - great centre forward play.
Sergio Aguero
Who else but Sergio?
Straight after Bournemouth's attack Manchester City go up the other end and Raheem Sterling gets to the byeline and plays the ball into the dangezone, Sergio Aguero slides and his shot is deflected in by Tyrone Mings.
Maybe an own goal? It's given to Aguero, and he'll be determined to make sure it stays that way.

Great chance, great save.
Benik Afobe cuts in from the left before feeding the ball to Harry Arter on the edge of the area and the midfielder bends a shot towards the top corner but Willy Cabellero dives across to punch clear.

The flag went up early after Ryan Fraser hooked the ball back in. It looked like Joshua King was going to get on to it but it was the correct decision from the linesman.

...in comes the free-kick, David Silva heads clear but the ball is hit back into the mix for Joshua King, but he's offside.
