Romelu Lukaku has scored 17 of Everton's 42 Premier League goals this season.

At the other top-seven clubs, Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored the next highest % of his side's league goals with 39% then comes Harry Kane (Spurs) 34%, Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) 31%, Diego Costa (Chelsea) 29%, Sergio Aguero (Man City) 22% and Sadio Mane (Liverpool) 20%.

I was with Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea and he showed glimpses, you could see his raw talent and ability. He is now an established top scorer in the Premier League.

A lot of people are surprised that Harry Kane has consistently scored goals and taken it to the next level.

It's a toss of the coin for me, I'm going to sit on the fence.

  5. 'Pochettino taking Spurs to new level'published at 12:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2017

    Tottenham Hotspur

Former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson on MOTD2 Extra: "Mauricio Pochettino came in when I was there, set them up and got a philosophy of scoring lots of goals and bringing in young players - particularly the full-back who are arguably the best in the world. The signings in the summer have been big signings and taken them on to the next level."

  9. 'You have to close Liverpool down'published at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2017

    Liverpool

Michael Dawson on MOTD2 Extra: "With Liverpool's front free, they have world class players. We didn't give them space when they played us at the KCOM and it worked for us. If they get space they've got players who can hurt you. You have to close them down.

"Leicester played them up the field deep, but yesterday at Anfield they dominated further up the field and they were a joy to watch."

  10. 'Sanchez is waiting for Wenger'published at 12:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2017

    Mark Schwarzer
    Ex-Fulham keeper on BBC One

Alexis Sanchez is waiting to see what the manager does. There are a number of players doing that.

If Arsene Wenger stays on there will be a natural turnover of players, if he leaves then it's a completely different story.

Hull defender Michael Dawson: "Alexis Sanchez, we all know what a top player he is, while inside the box Olivier Giroud is incredible. But if you don't start your main man you'll get a lot of questions asked.

"Giroud is a hold-up player but they didn't get it up to him. The two Liverpool centre-halves would have been delighted when they saw the Arsenal line-up.

"Pace is not what centre-halves want to play against it's as simple as that.

"If you get one v one he will slaughter you."

  12. 'He's in a no-win situation over Sanchez'published at 12:24 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2017

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    MOTD2 Extra

Daily Mirror's John Cross on Arsenal's Arsene Wenger omitting Alexis Sanchez from the line-up against Liverpool: "When you look at the stats he's been involved in 26 goals. You're leaving your star player on bench. He's clearly done it for reasons - keeping the equilibrium of the team.

"It's difficult to justify. Fans got frustrated during the game. Wenger is in a no-win situation trying to explain it. They got lost and the team look stranded in the first half."

  14. 'A bizarre decision'published at 12:22 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2017

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Mark Schwarzer
    Ex-Fulham keeper on BBC One

After the game Arsene Wenger said that he wanted more of an aerial threat with Olivier Giroud up front but it was a bizarre decision considering the form Alexis Sanchez has been in.

Sanchez asks more questions. When he came on he put Liverpool on the back foot instantly. Giroud is predictable, it's a battle with him, but he needs service. He wasn't involved in the game.

Leicester City: Craig Shakespeare 'out of order' for wanting Foxes job

Never mind strange managerial decisions, we've had some strange quotes from yesterday as well. There was Sean Dyche talking about carbs and Marbs, Zlatan saying someone jumped into his elbow and then Martin Keown claimed Leicester caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare is "out of order" for wanting the Foxes gig full time.

Shakespeare has won both his games in charge since stepping up from his role as assistant manager following the dismissal of Claudio Ranieri.

"Suddenly he wants to be a manager. It doesn't sit that comfortably with me," Keown said on Match of the Day. "If you're assistant manager to Ranieri and he's walked, why is it you suddenly want to be the manager?"

    Thoughts?

    Strange managerial decisions in football

Lee in Southampton, via text: "I played for a team called Forest Town. All year we played 4-4-2 and was strong in the wing (me on the right wing) manager decided on cup final day to play 3-5-2, their wingers cheated all first half meaning we basically defended all half and was losing 2-0. Changed to 4-4-2 and ended up winning 3-2 and getting man of the match after a goal and two assists. Was the 4th year winning that cup so we got to keep it."

Be honest, Lee, this was just a text to get in a humblebrag about your performance!
