Everton have been the better side in he second half. Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen had the measure of Romelu Lukaku but that was a clinical finish.

This game was billed as the two top strikers and it has lived up to it.

Everton have some belief and a spring in their step now. They are going for it.

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Out of nothing, Romelu Lukaku gives Everton hope.

The Belgian striker has not had much to work with in this game but pounces on the first real chance as Jan Vertonghen slips, giving Lukaku sight of goal and he guides the ball into the far corner.

That's his 61st Premier League goal for the club, making him Everton's record scorer.

    Tottenham 2-0 Everton

A rare defensive error by Tottenham as Mousa Dembele brings down Seamus Coleman on the edge of the box. Dembele is booked and Everton have a free-kick in a decent position. Ross Barkley plays it short but Tottenham clear. Chance gone.

Ben Davies spots Kyle Walker unmarked on the right side of the box and lifts the ball to him, Walker then knocks it into Harry Kane's path but the striker's close range shot is straight at Joel Robles. It would not have counted anyway because Walker had just drifted offside.

    Tottenham 2-0 Everton

Defensively strong, creative in midfield and lethal in attack, Tottenham look strong all over the pitch. If not this season, then surely a Premier League title is coming Spurs' way soon? That is if they can keep hold of Mauricio Pochettino.

Another Everton attack fizzles out disappointingly as Seamus Coleman overhits his cross and has to watch it sail out before jogging back up the pitch to the sound of ironic cheers.

    Tottenham 2-0 Everton

Jan Vertonghen clearly wants to get on the scoresheet. For the second time in this game he embarks on a marauding run towards the Everton box. He has Ben Davies for support but ignores him. He wants the glory but doesn't get it this time as he sweeps a shot harmlessly wide.

It may look bad for Everton at the moment but they are not completely out of it. A goal could change things but they need to do something they haven't managed all game - get a shot on target.

Jeff Wah: Awful Everton display. Tactically inept. Koeman just eliminated himself from the Barcelona job!

Andy Rudd: Don't really understand why Koeman changed the team, more midfielders but less balanced sometimes, shown by space.

Ross Barkley, who has had little impact on this game, tries to find a way through the Tottenham defence but there's a reason they have not conceded in any of their previous four Premier League games as Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen stand up well to him, forcing the midfielder to pass wide to Leighton Baines and the attack fizzles out.

It was a loose pass from Morgan Schneiderlin deep in his own half. Dele Alli anticipated it and Harry Kane had a lot to do but with sublime confidence, stroked the ball into the bottom corner.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one behind the king Jimmy Greaves' record of 366 league goals, arguably the best every number nine Tottenham have had. I am not sure Kane can reach that but he is on a mission towards it.

Shocking defending by Everton and Tottenham double their lead.

Joel Robles rolls the ball out to Morgan Schneiderlin, who is caught in possession by Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli pounces on the loose ball to clip it into Harry Kane's path. With just Robles to beat, there's no doubting the England striker as he places the ball into the far corner.

A fourth hat-trick in 10 games for Kane? It's on the cards.
