    However...

Rodney Marshall‏:  Stop using "world class" to describe Kane. He has had the opportunity at Euro 2016 and in Champions/Europa League - found wanting.

Ni Gel La‏: Kane is not world class yet. People were saying Jamie Vardy was great. When Kane scores against the best in big games we can revisit.

So many chances now for Tottenham it is hard to keep up!

Ramiro Funes Mori has found a way to stop Harry Kane and that's to kick him in the shin.

It's a terribly timed challenge but he gets away with a warning.

Daniel Tinkler: Amazing strike from Kane. The handshake with him and Dele however....

John Dunthorne: Absolutely brilliant no back lift strike from Kane. Why spoil it with that childish hand celebration with Alli.

David Ljunggren: Sneaky of Spurs to play boring football and put the Everton goalkeeper to sleep, then surprise him with a long range shot

Almost another for Harry Kane as he cuts inside Leighton Baines to get inside the box and shoots but this time Joel Robles is right behind it.

I am running out of superlatives.

Harry Kane just turns and shoots from 30 yards.

    Pick. That. One. Out.

We are getting close to world class now. Stunning.

  9. Kane fires Spurs aheadpublished at 20 mins

Stand off a player of Harry Kane's quality and pay the price!

There's nothing on as the in-form striker gets the ball 30 yards from goal but as Everton fans back off Kane lets fly with an absolute rocket of a shot that goes screaming into the back of the net.

Everton will felt they can get something here. They have talented players, move the ball well and have pace. They will play through the lines in the transition and get the ball quickly in the final third.

Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen combine superbly to snuff out an Everton attack. Dier first slides in to take the ball away from the feet of the advancing Tom Davies before Vertonghen hooks clear.

Some fine defending so far by Tottenham, but there are definitely gaps there for Everton to exploit.

No shots on target yet as the two sides feel each other out. Ben Davies finds space on the edge of the area and has a go, but Gareth Barry gets in the way just in time.

Davies then goes and fouls Tom Davies. This is going to get very confusing, very quickly. Here's hoping a Davies doesn't score today.

You can see the confidence both sides have in their attack and it is making for an open game so far.

Moments after that Everton attack, Tottenham get into their opponents area through Kyle Walker, who goes sprawling to the floor following a challenge by Leighton Baines. Tottenham fans scream for a penalty but Baines got that spot on.

Tottenham have three at the back, which is giving Everton plenty of opportunity to attack the flanks. Romelu Lukaku does just that, jinking his way into the box but Jan Vertonghen gets his tackle bang on.
