  1. Dingwall set for ding-dong gamepublished at 19:34 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Ross County v Motherwell (19:45)

County slipped into the bottom half of the table after losing a late goal at Kilmarnock at the weekend. Only Highland rivals Inverness have conceded more in the league, so manager Jim McIntyre will be looking for an improved effort in defence.

Motherwell have only won once in their past eight Premiership games but a win in Dingwall would take them into the top six.

  2. 'Hamilton missed out on Mckay'published at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Hamilton v Inverness CT (19:45)

Hamilton manager Martin Canning talking to BBC Sportsound:

"You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out how important the game is.

"A win puts us right back in the pack. If we win, we're three points off the top six.

"I've been trying to do deals all day, we're still looking for a striker and we've missed out on a couple of targets. At the minute, there are no targets in mind. The players we were after have gone elsewhere.

"We we trying to get something done with Billy Mckay."

  3. Mckay signing is 'huge coup'published at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Hamilton v Inverness CT (19:45)

Inverness CT manager Richie Foran speaking to BBC Sportsound:

"Signing Billy [Mckay] is a huge coup for us. As soon as I made the first phone call, I could hear in his voice that he was hungry to come back.

"There were other Scottish Premiership teams in for him and top teams in England as well.

"It's too early to talk about must-win games, there is still a long time to go."

  4. Can Mckay fire Caley Thistle up the table?published at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Hamilton v Inverness CT (19:45)

Scoring has been a problem for both teams, so Caley Thistle fans will be hoping Billy Mckay can rediscover the kind of form he showed in his first spell at the club.

The 28-year-old was sold to Wigan Athletic in January 2015 but returned on loan today.

His 13 goals could not save Dundee United from relegation last season and he's had a spell at Oldham for the first half of this campaign, scoring four times. Lonsana Doumbouya, who is the Highland club's top scorer with six has been allowed to move on after his summer arrival.

Accies are averaging slightly under a goal a game, with midfielder Ali Crawford their leading scorer with seven.

  5. High stakes at Hamiltonpublished at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Hamilton v Inverness CT (19:45)

A huge game at the bottom of the table...

Caley Thistle have been propping up the Premiership pile since Christmas Eve but can leapfrog Accies with a victory this evening.

That might be easier said that done since the Highlanders haven't won in the league since October. Hamilton's winless run stands at 12 league games.

  6. Motherwell spinning plates on deadline daypublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Martin Dowden

Motherwell chief operating officer Alan Burrows believes it's "85% likely" that Scott MacDonald will remain at the club despite interest from his native Australia.

He confirms that the Fir Park club is talking to Celtic about possible loan move for Nadir Ciftci.

And Stephen Pearson will sign on again tomorrow until end of season after the 34-year-old midfielder's latest spell in the Indian Super League.

    Chris McLaughlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

"Forward Nadir Ciftci is in talks regarding a loan move to Motherwell and defender Efe Ambrose is still hoping to secure a move to English Championship club Blackburn.

"Moussa Dembele and Craig Gordon look to be going nowhere despite interest from Chelsea. West Ham also expressed interest in Dembele.

"I understand a total of six bids were made for first-team Celtic players during January. Club satisfied they’ve fended off advances for key players."

  10. Scottish Cup replay at Broadwoodpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Clyde v Stirling Albion (19:45)

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Broadwood

A place in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup awaits either Clyde or Stirling Albion who meet in a fourth-round replay after their 2-2 draw the first time round.

Not much separated the teams at Forthbank a couple of weeks ago, indeed not much separates them in League Two - Clyde in sixth position, three points ahead of the Binos in seventh.

So a chance, then, to keep some spice in their seasons via the Scottish Cup and the winners of this tie will travel to Ayr United.

Injuries and players cup-tied mean Barry Ferguson's Clyde are short of eight first-team players for this encounter. As for Stirling Albion, boss Dave Mackay won the competition with St Johnstone in 2014.
