  1. Hearts conclude January business?published at 10:05

    Chris McLaughlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

Hearts won't be making it double figure signings in this January transfer window. They have added nine players to the squad but that's it for Ian Cathro in terms of players coming in. However, there is a possibility of players going out before the close of play.

  8. What business can we expect from Scottish clubs?published at 09:35

    Alasdair Lamont
    BBC Sport Scotland

"It's difficult to say [whether it will be a busy deadline day in Scotland] but certainly if last night was anything to go by then there could be quite a bit of activity.

"Last night, Hearts continued Ian Cathro's revolution with three more signings, taking their tally for the transfer window to nine - quite a turnover at Tynecastle.

"A couple of Greek players, one of whom, Alexandros Tziolis, has 62 caps and is a very experienced midfielder. He's quite an exciting signing for Hearts.

"Also, Esmael Goncalves, formerly of St Mirren. Hearts paid £170,000 for him from Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.

"Hearts fans will possibly see them in action for the first time on Wednesday night when they play Rangers, who themselves have signed goalkeeper Jak Alnwick from Port Vale.

"Hamilton Accies have brought in a Greek defender Giannis Skondras, so there was plenty of activity yesterday.

"Whether that will equate to more activity today, or clubs getting their business done and dusted... remember, there are some games tonight and tomorrow.

"Clubs perhaps want to get that business over and done with before concentrating on their fixtures."

  12. On the back pagespublished at 09:10 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

Here's what's making the back pages of the Scottish newspapers:

    • Chelsea could make a deadline day bid for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, but he is likely to cost the Premier League leaders upwards of £30m
    • Striker Leigh Griffiths has been warned by manager Brendan Rodgers he must be more dedicated to stay at Celtic. Griffiths, 26, is injured with a calf strain which his boss blames on his lifestyle and attitude to training
    • Motherwell assistant manager James McFadden accuses Rangers boss Mark Warburton and his staff of getting Australian striker Scott McDonald sent off for a tackle on Kenny Miller as Well launch an appeal against his dismissal
    • Dundee United could be on the verge of a £1m windfall on the back of Andy Robertson being sold by Hull City. When the Scotland full-back left Tannadice for England in 2014, United chairman Stephen Thompson got a sell-on clause included in the £3m deal.
