    Germany v England (19:45 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund

Burnley's Michael Keane and West Bromwich Albion's Jake Livermore are the two rookies of this England side tonight - a big opportunity for that pair as they face World Cup holders Germany.

It may only be a friendly but this match is still regarded with the highest prestige.

Southgate will field his first choice line-up in Sunday's World Cup qualifier with Lithuania at Wembley - so he cannot be blamed for exploring his options tonight in Dortmund's vast Signal Iduna Park.

Craig Dawson can't be far away Dave. If you're English and playing regularly in the Premier League you'll be under consideration.

Where would you play Ross Barkley in this system Stewart? Got to be him or Adam Lallana I guess.

Stewart Gofford: Why no Stones, Barkley or Rashford? With a 2nd string German team we will be outplayed and lose easily. Worst England team ever

OnsideView: Could be a long night for England. New system, Smalling a liability, Keane inexperienced, Hart makes mistakes. Ger 3-1 Eng.

Dave Hemming: Best of luck to Jake tonight, when does Craig Dawson get a call-up?

  9. Like watching Fulhampublished at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2017

    Scotland v Canada (19:45 GMT)

Scotland coach Gordon Strachan on BBC Radio Scotland:  "We're bringing Tom Cairney in, we're trying to play a system that's similar to Fulham's.

"What has to be right tonight is their attitude. They have to lose themselves in the game and forget about the next game.

"I've got a way we want to play on Sunday. It's up to the players to impress me.

"That's the priority tonight, to win a game of football."

Will this system help get the best out of Dele Alli and, when fit, Harry Kane?Copying Spurs seems to make sense to me. With Kyle Walker and Danny Rose playing, when fit, the 3-4-3 should work.

Instead of Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama though England have Eric Dier and Jake Livermore. Let's see.

Ian Shepherd: Finally an England manager doing something different....hope it continues. reckon a 1-1 draw...

The Reynolds Effect: As the late, great Graham Taylor said... "you have to experiment, don't you". Certainly an interesting line up.

Miles Norgan: You'd have thought after watching Leicester win the league, people would realise it's about the team not star players

Well, England are top of their World Cup qualifying group with 10 points from four games. It's very much business as usual on that front.
