That was excellent from Sturridge - who had a lot to do when he picked the ball up about 30 yards out. It was a superb strike and an equally good save. 

That is superb stuff! Daniel Sturridge shows once again what he's all about, drifting past tired defenders with absolute ease, it all opens up for him and he's one on one - Heurelho Gomes gets a big hand on his shot but it's drifting in, it's going in, it goes wide!

Liverpool are moving on to 69 points as it stands, four points clear of fifth-paced Manchester United who would have a game in hand. It's going to go to the wire.

What's he doing up there?! Joel Matip in the centre-forward position and he forces Heurelho Gomes into another save at his near post. 

Liverpool will not rush this corner.

You see Klopp on the sidelines and you wonder how many players are listening? When he is shouting and shouting, after a while as a player you just switch off.

For Liverpool at this stage of the season, it doesn't really matter how they play - it is all about results. 

Daniel Sturridge is on for the final few minutes, replacing Divock Origi, as Watford send on Stefano Okaka. Hit the big man!

Liverpool are looking a touch edgy and shakey at the back. James Milner shanks a clearance and Simon Mignolet makes hard work of a Daryl Janmaat shot.

If Watford really go for this they may get their rewards...

Isaac Success does beat his man and puts in a fine cross but Joel Matip clears with authority. Simon Mignolet then comes and claims with similar authority. A new man?

Watford need to try to lift their game - nothing seems to be coming off for them and their final pass has been quite woeful really.

They need to give the ball to Success and give him the opportunity to isolate and take on Clyne.

What are the rules here?! Watford head the ball out, it hits referee Craig Pawson and stays in play but a throw-in is given anyway. Think that should have been play on.

Walter Mazzarri and Jurgen Klopp are enjoying themselves anyway.

As that Liverpool counter was unfolding Mazzarri was pounding on the dugout in frustration. A fit Adam Lallana would probably score.

Chance to seal it! Liverpool break from the Watford corner, Nathaniel Clyne whips over a peach of an early cross and Adam Lallana is in on goal.

One good, solid touch and it's 2-0. But it's a tired, rusty touch from the man just back from injury and he's tackled instead.
