Ade gets something off his chest...

    Are Liverpool actually in profit?

Even as a City fan, I find it astounding that considering since Klopp came Liverpool are actually in profit, they aren't getting more credit for their current position. Look at the spending of 4 of the other top 5! And Klopp is in PROFIT!!! I'd say the bigger question on champions league qualification is why isn't Mourinho being hammered for their position considering the astronomical cost of their squad?

Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri: "Our target was to be mathematically safe and we still are not mathematically safe, [but] we are very near safety.

"They [Liverpool] will be very angry, because they lost at home [to Crystal Palace]. I hope my players are more angry than them, because we lost our last game and conceded six against Liverpool earlier this year."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "At the beginning of the season, when we were first or second in the table and all that stuff, I said the only thing we can do is to be in the battle for the interesting positions at the end of the season.

"Yes, it would be nice if we had 10 points more and fight with Chelsea for the title, but that's not for us obviously in this moment.

"So we have to fight for what we can fight for and that's a Champions League place. That's really, really interesting, to be honest."

Greece international Jose Holebas misses out with a foot injury for Watford, while centre-back Craig Cathcart does not recover in time from a knee problem.

That means a rare outing for centre-back Adrian Mariappa, who makes only his third Premier League start of the season.

As you were for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp names the same starting XI which lost to Crystal Palace last weekend.

The big news comes on the bench, where England internationals Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge will be sitting after recovering from injuries.

Yep, Liverpool are ace against the teams at the top.

But five of their six defeats this season have come against teams currently in the bottom half of the table: Palace, Leicester, Burnley, Hull and Swansea.

Another defeat tonight, and Jose Mourinho and his band of injured men may end up in the top four after all...

Liverpool are unbeaten against the rest of the top six this season, taking 20 points from a possible 30.

What do they do in these games that they don't do against the 'lesser' sides?

Is it a mental thing? Tactics?

On Thursday morning Liverpool were third in the table but were being stalked by a pair of thoroughbreds.

Manchester City, in fourth, were two points behind with two games in hand.

Manchester United, in fifth, were three points behind, also with two games in hand.

The 0-0 draw in Thursday's Manchester derby was a good result for the Reds.

United being held by Swansea, and then City dropping points at Middlesbrough, were great results for the Reds.

Liverpool are still third, but the games in hand have been eaten up. Win tonight, at Watford, and Jurgen Klopp's side will give their top-four chances a massive boost.

If only they could beat the teams below them...
