    Watford 0-0 Liverpool

The Watford fans, if not the players, get excited when Troy Deeney is shoved to the deck by Dejan Lovren. Never a penalty.

Saving Mr Banks is a great film! Can you do minute by minute updates on that instead?

I did see it once, can't remember much. But it's just Tom Hanks being Tom Hanks isn't it. No bad thing.

    Legend.

As you've already gathered, there isn't much happening in terms of goalmouth action. But we're going to reinforce the point anyway.

Watford have not managed one touch inside the Liverpool area (see the left graphic), while the visitors (on the right, obviously) have fared only slightly better with three touches in the opposition box.

Reason to be optimistic of some action? No team has scored more goals this season in the 15 minutes before half-time than Liverpool (15 - level with Man Utd and Tottenham).

Corner to Watford after tricky feet from M'Baye Niang. Liverpool have let in loads from set-pieces under Jurgen Klopp but they deal with that one in the end.

Best shout so far for the what-I-did-on-Bank-Holiday-Monday competition that we are kind of having in the absence of much on-field activity.

Divock Origi comes out to the left wing to try and get a touch of the ball and he does, but can only put a cross straight at Heurelho Gomes.

The game is similar to the game the other night between Crystal Palace and Tottenham.

Both teams are nullifying each other, there is not much urgency and it was a moment of brilliance from Christian Eriksen that won it.

We'll have to wait and see if we get a moment of brilliance tonight.

Making three sets of enemies in one concise sentence. Impressive Bank Holiday work.

Are Watford the dullest mid-table team since Charlton or Fulham? Classic treading water specialists until they finally go down in a year or two.

Ironic cheers as referee Craig Pawson gives the hosts a free-kick. I'm trying to find a positive to bring you but at the minute, this is utterly forgettable.

You're better off with the snooker or Saving Mr. Banks.

That's not been much to tell you about stats-wise, but here's a look at how the opening quarter has panned out.

Liverpool have shaded possession, but most of that has been inside their own third or the midfield.

Both managers are down in their technical areas barking out orders. Jurgen Klopp does not look happy with what he's seen, and who can blame him? This is tame stuff.

It was a good save from Heurelho Gomes. He started with a high line on his six-yard box, but it was a nice strike.

    A shot on target!

First one of the night and it's a good one too, hit crisp, hard and low from Emre Can, 25 yards out.

Heurelho Gomes is behind it all the way and pushes it away.

Jose Mourinho would be calling out Philippe Coutinho for going off with that injury, you can only presume.

Watford also have an injury problem now. Miguel Britos is down getting treatment.
