Sergio Aguero attempted nine shots. The last player to attempt more in a game against the Red Devils was Cristiano Ronaldo (11) for Real Madrid in March 2013.

That equals the most shots that Aguero has attempted in a Premier League game without scoring – level with his appearance against West Brom in March 2015.

  2. 'We never felt like the game was difficult'published at 22:10 British Summer Time 27 April 2017

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, speaking to Sky Sports: "We got a point - it's not so bad but we never felt like the game was difficult or they were a threat.

"It's happened a lot this season - good games but just not the result. Rashford and Martial have got so much ability and such a bright future ahead.

"They are lightning quick and with a bit more experience can cause a lot more trouble."

Seven of the eight red cards given in this Premier League fixture have been for Manchester United players.

From a neutral's point of view, we've got to thank Marouane Fellaini for giving us a talking point really.

That is his third red card in the Premier League and second for United. It feels like more.

  5. 'Red card made it more difficult'published at 22:03 British Summer Time 27 April 2017

Manchester United captain Michael Carrick, speaking to Sky Sports: "It’s a point gained for us.

"We thought we could catch City on the break and we did have a couple of chances but overall I thought we did well except at the end when there was a bit of excitement.

"It makes things more difficult when you go down to 10 men."

United have equalled their record for the longest unbeaten run within a single top-flight season (24 games). Plenty of draws in among there though.

Sort of reminds me of Huddersfield's 43-game unbeaten run in the league that left them in pretty much the same place in the League One table.

Fellaini is a great player but has shown stupidity there, for sure. He is just lucky it didn't cost Manchester United anything tonight.

I'm genuinely looking forward to hearing what Jose Mourinho had to say about Marouane Fellaini's red card.

Or when he's asked about the fact they barely even tried to score a goal.

United came with a game plan and it worked but City, let's be honest, have been quite disappointing tonight.

Overall Mourinho will be pleased with the way they have defended.

    Man City 0-0 Man Utd

It's all over, City somehow have not won this derby. But it will be mostly remembered for Marouane Fellaini's 19 seconds of lunacy.

The corner goes past everyone and that's that.

Gabriel Jesus wins a corner. This is surely it now.

    One last chance?

It's a chance for a City winner but Sergio Aguero can't make the right connection to a long cross and it loops up into the air.

Richard Clayton: So frustrating from Fellaini. He's played well for us recently but always seems to take 2 steps forward, one step back.

Kenny Kong: Unfortunately Fellaini has just shown why so many was surprised he was named captain few games back, what a silly sending off.

Paul Mulligan: I'm probably on my own here but that headbutt didn't look that bad to me. More stupidity from Fellaini and clever from Aguero.

Jesus Navas crosses from the right and fellow Jesus, Gabriel, pokes it wide at the near post. And now he's hobbling.

    This is ending 0-0.

Say what you want about Marouane Fellaini but he makes life more interesting.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+2 mins

Ashley Young replaces the hobbling Marcus Rashford. Eat the seconds up, is what Jose Mourinho will be thinking.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 90+2 mins

Gabriel Jesus thinks he has just scored the winner in the Manchester derby on his return from injury but he was offside when he tapped home Sergio Aguero's cross. He had started his celebrations but had to cut them short.
