Jose Mourinho marched down the touchline towards the Stretford End pointing at his Manchester United badge after a win that was as much his as his players.

He produced tactical masterstrokes today, using the pace of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard and utilising Ander Herrera to man-mark Eden Hazard, and recorded a win that will be celebrated in parts of north London as much as Old Trafford.

United were dominant in all areas as Chelsea were outflanked on the pitch and in the technical area.

The Spaniard diplomatically discusses his 'handball' in the build-up to Manchester United's first goal, eloquently claiming his hand was in a natural position.

There could be a huge momentum shift next weekend in the FA Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Tottenham. If Tottenham win that what will it do for their belief? Chelsea are still in the box seat at the moment.

Manchester United fans only care about their side's own position of course, but some of their Spurs-supporting friends may wish to buy them a drink later.

All over! Chelsea's lead stays at four points over Spurs, while Man Utd put the cat amongst the Champions League pigeons.

Now Timothy Fosu-Mensah gets a standing ovation (see 81 mins)! The young defender comes on for Ashley Young, who takes his time trotting off. Obviously he has to find Michael Carrick and hand over the captain's armband. Tick tock. Very clever.

David Beckham sprays a Hollywood pass about 60 yards down the touchline. Oh, sorry, it was Marcos Rojo. Unfortunately for him it skips off the wet grass and just out of Ashley Young's outstretched foot.

Andre Marriner trots up to the touchline armed with a big electronic board. On it, the number four. That, of course,means four minutes of stoppage time.

Four minutes for Chelsea to make a minor miracle.

Cesc Fabregas clatters into Michael Carrick on the edge of the United box. The home fans bay for blood. The Chelsea midfielder does not see red, only picking up a yellow.

Still Chelsea are dominating possession. Still they're doing little with it. Time ticking.

It has been a very good team performance from Manchester United. There has been no stand-out individual. Everybody has played their part.
