There hasn't been enough care or quality from Chelsea in the final third. This far into the game and there hasn't been a threat to David de Gea's goal.

Chelsea need a goal. But to do that they need a shot on target. They've not managed one yet...

Another waste of a delivery. Cesc Fabregas clips a free-kick into the United box from 35 yards (ish), but it flies straight into the hands of David de Gea. It has been an easy shift for the United keeper so far.

Much better from Chelsea. They've finally woken up. That change of shape has given Pedro a new lease of life, the Blues winger wriggling into space on the left, only to hit a red shirt with his cross.

Ander Herrera becomes the latest name to be scrawled into Bobby Madley's notepad. Any guesses who the United midfielder fouled? Yep, Eden Hazard.

To be fair, there was little in it, just a clip of the heels near the halfway line. But he sees yellow, probably because that is one too many misdemeanours in the eyes of Senor Madley.

Cheslea aren't panicking when they are in possession. Patient play ends in Pedro getting behind the United defence on the left flank, only for his low cross to be gathered by David de Gea.

A glimmer of hope for the travelling Blues behind that goal.

Heading into the final 20 minutes. Chelsea need a goal. And they need it quick.

Marcus Rashford has been livelier than some faulty bathroom electrics. The young United striker cuts in from the left, outmuscling David Luiz and N'Golo Kante before shooting low to the near post.

That means a change of shape for Chelsea. Eden Hazard has gone up top with Diego Costa, as Pedro goes to the left and Willian takes up position on the right.

Time for another Chelsea change. Willian comes on to provide more attacking spark, Nemanja Matic going off.

The ball bobbles around the United area as Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma try to leather it goalwards, only to see Michael Carrick react quicker. The United sub, making his 450th appearance for the game, scissor kicks clear from the floor.

Right then, what have you got Chelsea?

The Blues win their first corner of the afternoon, but Cesc Fabregas's delivery is booted clear by the United defence.

Chelsea recycle the ball and Pedro shoots over. He claims there was a deflection. Bobby Madley agrees. Another corner...

It won't quite happen for Chelsea. Pedro could only get a toe on the ball to steer the ball behind for a goal-kick. United have played very well today. It will be interesting now for Thursday. Does he go with the 4-4-2 he has played today? Does Ibrahimovic come back?

They thought it was in! Those on the side of the Old Trafford main stand cheers as Marcus Rashford flashes a rasper goalwards from the other side of the Chelsea penalty area. 

The net shimmers...but it is the outside of the side-netting.

Shutting up shop. Jose Mourinho wants to close the door, bringing on Michael Carrick to keep out Chelsea. Off goes Jesse Lingard after a busy shift.

First sniff of goal for Chelsea in a long time. Diego Costa tries to wriggle clear of Marcos Rojo's hold, but the Blues striker cannot meet the ball before David de Gea.
