The home fans have raised the decibels to a level probably not heard since Sir Alex Ferguson's days. A right racket.

Here's the answer to that question in the previous entry. Yes.

Cesc Fabregas is summoned from the bench, with Victor Moses looking up to see his number held aloft.

Fabregas goes into the middle as Chelsea reshuffle. Hope there isn't a tray of pizza in the Old Trafford tunnel. Could be messy if Fabregas and the visitors lose...

Chelsea had to improve in the second half. Now they need to improve further still. Time for a tactical tweak?

Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have got Chelsea right where they want them now - two goals down and having to chase.

Mourinho's tactics have been absolutely right on the money today and Chelsea have simply not been able to respond. Still time of course - but this has been a very limp effort so far from the Premier League leaders.

United kept the pressure up and when the ball came out to Herrera he struck a shot that deflects up off Zouma and past Begovic. It is all going right for Jose Mourinho.

...North London and Manchester, of course.

United boost their top-four hopes and do second-placed Spurs a favour by doubling their advantage against the leaders.

Ander Herrera was the provider for Marcus Rashford's opener, now he turns poacher. The Spaniard is picked out by Ashley Young's cutback from the left, his drilled shot deflecting off the sole of Kurt Zouma's foot and past a stranded Asmir Begovic.

Ouch! Chelsea skipper Gary Cahill goes into Marouane Fellaini's right thigh with a studs-up challenge as they contest a loose ball. The home players react furiously, demanding Cahill sees yellow. Bobby Madley agrees.

No change of personnel from Chelsea. But there has been a tactical tweak - on Antonio Conte's bonce at least.  Cap off, mop top out.

An ear-splitting roar from the Stretford End as the home side re-emerge shortly after the away side. Chelsea presumably got an ear-bashing from Antonio Conte and sent out on their way.

    Game on.

Chelsea fans, do you want some hope to hang on to? This stat won't help, I'm afraid...

The Blues have lost four of the five Premier League games they've been losing at half-time this season.

Although... the game which they did fight back to win was in Manchester. They won 3-1 against City in December.

Manchester United deserve their lead. Says who? Says the stats.

The home side have enjoyed almost 60% possession and spent over a third of the first half in the Chelsea third.

United have scored with their only shot on target from four attempts, while the Blues only registered one effort at the home goal. And that was rubbish from Diego Costa.

"You could say Antonio Conte's impact in his first season in the Premier League has been Mourinho-esque - the same as when Jose first came to England in 2004 and blew everyone away."

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton analysed the impact of Blues bosses from the past and present ahead of the big game.

Chelsea pair Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante, plus Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, make up half of the nominees on the PFA Player of the Year shortlist.

But would any of them (or all of them) make your team of the year?

Pick your best XI. Then share it with your friends and argue about each other's selections.

So United go back into the top five, while Chelsea's lead over second-placed Spurs looks increasingly fragile as it stands. They are the three most important words in football, remember.

Mourinho has got his tactics spot on. He has done what he does. United have done a job. Chelsea have been poor. There has been no fluidity and they have not tested De Gea.

Rashford got it right with a decent finish. Lot of conjecture about the handball from Ander Herrrera in the build-up. I think it was.

United fancy another before the break. Unfortunately it is Ashley Young who has a pop. Fred stood up in Row L is the man who has to move his feet, not Asmir Begovic.
