It's all Blackpool at the moment.

There was a big space between Exeter's strikers and midfield as the ball went forward, meaning easy pickings on the second ball.

Jack Payne is finding his range with the long-range passes. Channeling a bit of Tom Brady there, for all y'all NFL fans.

Vassell for the first time has got himself on the end of a diagonal ball.

It's a good first touch again, he lets the ball just run across slightly and hits it with his left foot under a lot of pressure.

The keeper - it's a good save, but you would expect him to save it.

Neil Danns doing his best showboating audition for Strictly Come Dancing, and then Jack Payne sweeps a delicious pass into Kyle Vassell, whose shot audibly stung the palms of Christy Pym.

Danns then swings in a cross that Pym has to punch away.

    Bright opening from the Seasiders.

Blackpool winger Bright Osayi-Samuel has a little dig at goal, he tries to curl one in from the edge of the box but can't get the dip or the bend quite right.

A decent settler for Blackpool, though. Poor Tom Aldred is showered and changed, and looks pretty dejected to be forced to watch from the bench after his earlier injury.

Who has the nerve then? We know these two teams will take it to 90 minutes so the character is sound.

The best chances of that first half outside the goals? Exeter probably shade that, with Ollie Watkins snapping out a couple of shots that Sam Slocombe did well to stop.

A big 45 minutes to come.

Believe it or not, Exeter goalscorer David Wheeler was a keen gymnast in his youth, and it all makes sense once you watch him play.

The winger isn't particularly tall or stocky, but he has an amazing springy leap and is such a powerful runner once he gets going.

With Tom Aldred injured Blackpool have a somewhat makeshift defence - will they be able to keep their opponents out in the second half?

    Blackpool 1-1 Exeter

Well, what a first half of football. Full of drama, excitement, and a couple of goals.

Fine strikes from Brad Potts and David Wheeler have us level at the break, and that's probably a fair scoreline on reflection.

The semi-finals showed just how open this league is, and these two teams are living up to the promise.

Stick with us for the second half.

Closing in on half-time, that goal really turns this game on its head.

Blackpool perhaps needed it in a strange way, it means they have come out again, press and impose themselves. Sitting back not an option.

Exeter's hard work has yielded parity again, they need to score again though to get the lead for the first time.

Fantastic finish, it's that ball again that has caused Blackpool all sorts of problems. It's a huge punt forwards, at least 50 or 60 yards.

It's a wonderful first touch, reminiscent of Cullen's first touch for the Blackpool goal, and that is a really fantastic finish.

He has to flick it back across himself, over the keeper with the outside of his foot. It's a really good finish, a quality finish, and I think they've just about deserved that.

GOAL - Blackpool 1-1 Exeterpublished at 40 mins

    David Wheeler

Huge goal from David Wheeler - his 21st in all competitions this season - as Exeter go level.

After all the intricacy of their football so far, it's a raking, diagonal pass from inside their own half that the winger tracked beautifully, took a great first touch and then guided the ball over the head of Sam Slocombe in the Blackpool goal with the outside of his boot.

Majestic. A goal worthy of the setting.

More injury concern for Blackpool, as Jack Payne lives up to his name by lying on the ground in agony!

Gary Bowyer looks on pensively. He's up at least, trudging to the side of the pitch to a slow hand-clap from some Exeter fans.

Back down to 10 again, temporarily.
