That was a definite penalty - he clipped Tammy Abraham's heels.

I do not think anybody can argue with this result, this performance, they thoroughly deserve to be 3-0 up - now we have just got to keep the ball, let's see if we can get them chasing and conserve some energy.

We have put ourselves in a tremendous position.

This performance puts a marker down and shows what we are all about - we are not just here to make up the numbers, we are into the semi-final. And we can go on and get even stronger.

A brilliant touch from Demarai Gray takes him away from a defender, he drives into the area and could score a really superb goal - but drags the shot wide...

Into the net, and into the last four! Lewis Baker wins the argument to take the penalty ahead of Tammy Abraham and slams the kick low into the corner.

Keeper Jakub Wrabel gets a hand on to it but he can't stop it.

The Poland keeper - Jakub Wrabel - looked strong in the warm-up and has made five or six really strong saves. He has a strong hand and when he cannot hold the ball he has pushed it away from the danger area very well.

  10. CLOSE!published at 80 mins

    England U21 2-0 Poland U21

Great chance! Lewis Baker takes the free-kick, left-footed, he snakes it around the wall, the keeper beats it clear and Tammy Abraham heads the loose ball over the top!

It came to him at real pace and at a tricky height. But a real chance for the big man.

The Polish fans, by the way, have been tremendous. They are still at full volume.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 79 mins

    England U21 2-0 Poland U21

Some frustration is creeping into the Poland ranks. Jaroslaw Jach is booked for a foul on Tammy Abraham and referee Harald Lechner has to square up to someone. Dissent.

Free-kick in a good spot. James Ward-Prowse would fancy this.

Jacob 'impact' Murphy does well again, skipping by his full-back and putting in a dangerous cross, Tammy Abraham's eyes light up - but no, he had just run the ball out of play.

The first half we created more opportunities, but in the second half we have been more controlled with the ball.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tammy Abraham - he is a real goalscorer, hopefully he can go on and get one. He has got bags of potential.

  15. Slovakia on coursepublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 22 June 2017

    Slovakia U21 3-0 Sweden U21

Lubomir Satka has put Slovakia three up against Sweden, who are going home with barely a whimper.

Slovakia are going to finish with six points and have a chance of taking that sole runners-up spot in the semis. They will have to wait.

England are winning the group though.

  16. CLOSE!published at 74 mins

    England U21 2-0 Poland U21

Ooof that is close! Przemyslaw Frankowski whistles a shot wide from the angle. Great hit, it beat Jordan Pickford but flies past the far post.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 72 mins

    England U21 2-0 Poland U21

A gamble? England do send on Tammy Abraham, a change in focus in attack. And it's captain James Ward-Prowse who comes off.

Poland's Dawid Kownacki has pinged his hamstring and comes off.

  18. Postpublished at 71 mins

    England U21 2-0 Poland U21

Aidy Boothroyd said before kick-off that a threat on the counter is what he was aiming for by playing Demarai Gray up front. Perfectly illustrated.

Boothroyd has had a good game and a half. Every decision he has made has come off. Jacob Murphy has now picked up an assist and a goal from the bench in the last two games.

What a goal that was. Fantastic defending by Chambers. Calm as you like, composure to take a touch and then clear his lines and then an excellent break. It is no more than we deserve.

    Jacob Murphy

Breathing space! England get a second goal in clinical fashion on the break. Poland are attacking, Calum Chambers clears and from the minute Lewis Baker sends Demarai Gray away down the left, Poland are in big trouble.

The Leicester man gets his head down, races clear and then lays it on a plate for Jacob Murphy to tap home. The substitute scores. England into the last four?
