The early goal was just what the doctor ordered. England's best 45 minutes of the tournament so far?I should coco.

Ward-Prowse set-pieces superb this half, just crying out for a finish. Chilwell's charging runs another positive feature.

Will Hughes drives forwards before he is clattered again. Impressive few minutes from the Derby man. England are ending this half in dominant style, nothing you could complain about apart from the lack of a second goal.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
Will Hughes is immediately clobbered by Radoslaw Murawski, who is very lucky not to be booked. England are such a threat from set-pieces as James Ward-Prowse delivers a superb ball from the right, David Beckham-esque. Just needs a touch, England have three men in there but it somehow misses them all and goes behind. Gutterball.
Deserved better. England deserve a bigger lead here.

Here is Will Hughes, on for the stricken Nathaniel Chalobah. He doesn't have the physical presence of the Chelsea man but he can pass a football.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
Will Hughes is close to a £8m move to Watford, we hear. In modern money that's basically a free transfer. Good business.
Oh good save! John Swift bends a shot on goal and Jakub Wrabel makes another very decent stop indeed.

It is a set-back but we are looking at a really good replacement here in Will Hughes. He will go in there, keep possession like Chalobah did.

If England get to the final, and if Nathaniel Chalobah played in every game - two big ifs - he would win his 98th cap in youth football.
He made his first appearance for England when he was 13. Remarkable.

Chalobah is holding his groin again. It looks like he has strained it a bit more. They've got to make sure they don't push it too far and strain it even more.

England may be on top but nobody has told the home crowd. Still a cauldron of noise. Anyone been to a game in Poland? Sounds ace.
I went to a wedding there once. Nuts.

That is a top, top save. Really strong header, going into the bottom corner and what a save. We are testing the goalkeeper, though. We must have had four or five good plays where we have tested the goalkeeper.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
That's nice, John Swift, a deft backheel into the run of Nathan Redmond, who profits from a defender's slip but can't get a shot away. Corner.
Nathaniel Chalobah has a header saved, routine, but that's a superb save!
Alfie Mawson wins a header, down and into the corner, but Jakub Wrabel pulls off a superb save.
England so nearly two up.

Fine ball in, excellent clearing header from Calum Chambers. He's had a good tournament, where may he be playing next season? His career has rather stalled. He looks a better centre-back than a right-back. Arsenal went three at the back at the end of last season so maybe he does have a future there.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
Demarai Gray is definitely giving England another dimension up front tonight. In the past two games they have kept the ball well but constantly lost out when they got it wide. We've seen some rubbish crossing.
Now they don't need to cross it as Gray and Nathan Redmond are pulling wide, which allows John Swift to get into the box. England look good on the ball at the moment but they haven't had a shot on goal for a while.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
'Score in a minute!' - that's the chant, well the Polish version anyway, around the Kielce Stadium. But it's England on the attack, James Ward-Prowse over a free-kick which is punched away rather nervously by Jakub Wrabel.
Not the most convincing.

We are doing OK. We are getting control of the game again now, we are composed on the ball but just need to make sure we cut out those sloppy passes.
Slovakia U21 2-0 Sweden U21
In the night's other game, Slovakia are now well on top. Some poor Swedish defending is punished as Jaroslav Mihalik drills in hard and low.
They are second in the group as it stands. England have seven points.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
Quality from Demarai Gray again! This time he comes out wide, sucks in his full-back and then just skips by him so easily. Into the area, he puts over a great low ball that could be a tap-in for someone, but Nathan Redmond had just made a dart to the near post and the ball comes behind him.
Those two have been a threat up top. With no central, natural striker, the Poland defence don't really know what to do with them.
England U21 1-0 Poland U21
Referee Harald Lechner is certainly letting the game flow - I counted at least three challenges in a row that could have been given as fouls, but Poland come away with the ball. It comes to nothing.
The hosts have been very disappointing so far.
