Weather very much a mixed bag in Southampton today where the Boat Show is also on this weekend just to add to the traffic on the way to the ground.

Wesley Hoedt - pronounced 'hoot' I'm told - does make his Southampton debut and the mercurial Moroccan Sofiane Boufal gets a first Premier League start of the season.

Peruvian Andre Carrillo, on loan from Benfica, gets his first start for Watford replacing Nordin Amrabat who is now on loan to Leganes in La Liga.

Sure enough the heavens have opened at the St. Mary's Stadium and the players are now "warming up" in a torrential downpour.

Former Leicester & Man Utd forward on Final Score

I would have thought Conte would have wanted one or two more players in the transfer window. But I look at their squad and they will be okay.

They play such good football - I don't think they will be worried about any other team in the league.

Thousands of red and white flyers have been put out around the St Mary's Stadium to try and provide a rousing atmosphere for the Southampton players who've failed to score in eight of their last 10 games at home.

Mauricio Pellegrino says we won't see Virgil van Dijk back in the team just yet as he recovers from his ankle injury but there is a debut for fellow Dutch defender Wesley Hoedt.

It's all over in the early Premier League kick off and Manchester City have thumped 10-man Liverpool 5-0.

Sadio Mane was sent off for the Reds, reducing Fantasy Football managers everywhere to tears, but two goals each for Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane and a Sergio Aguero strike may have softened the blow.

Reaction to that game is over this way.

Brighton are still waiting to score their first top-flight goal since 1983, when Gordon Smith bagged in a 2-1 defeat at Norwich on 14 May that year.

The last time these two sides met in the top flight was also in 1983. That game ended in a goalless draw...

You've got to feel a bit for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

His last game for Arsenal was a 4-0 defeat by Liverpool, who he then joined on transfer deadline day.

Just the one change for Leicester as they host Chelsea.
