    Manchester United 0-1 CSKA Moscow

An early chance for Marcus Rashford, who hit the post earlier on in the first half, and this time he forces a decent save from Igor Akinfeev from a tight angle.

This has been an OK game so far but we are still waiting for a spark.

Watching Antonio Conte and Diego Simeone has indeed been the best entertainment so far.

United have not played with much tempo and with any sense of urgency.

You'd have to argue that it's because they have one eye on the big one at the weekend.

    Luke ShawImage source, Opta

He has to "change his football brain", was the instruction from manager Jose Mourinho at the end of last season.

Full-back Luke Shaw has been given his first start of the campaign today and has been thoroughly impressive.

The heatmap shows how far up the pitch he has been operating, while his five clearances and two interceptions has been better than any other team-mate.

Ashley Young may well be spending more time on the bench as this season goes on.

The CSKA fans are enjoying themselves now.

They have this coordinated display where they all hold their arms out flat in front and start rhythmically waving in sync with a low hum that slowly builds up to a pretty unnerving crescendo. The goal turned all that up to 11.

  11. HALF-TIME Celtic 0-0 Anderlechtpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Chris McLaughlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

A poor first 45 minutes for Celtic, but given the way this has been going, they’ll just be pleased to go in at the break having not conceded.

They’ve looked spooked from the very start and just can’t find any rhythm.

The Belgians have been sharp and always look to have a spare man in midfield.

    Manchester United 0-1 CSKA Moscow

    Ally McCoist
Former Scotland striker on BBC Radio 5 live at Old Trafford

That was a really well worked goal, Fernandez goes down the right-hand side. It’s an interesting one as it definitely hits Dzagoev.

So was the initial shot going in? If it’s not going in then United have a real case that it’s offside.

But that should not take anything away from the movement in the run up to it. It was certainly against the run of play

Offside or not? As this picture shows, United defenders Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof all think it was offside. Half-time, by the way. CSKA Moscow lead 1-0.

GOAL - Manchester United 0-1 CSKA Moscowpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Alan Dzagoev (CSKA Moscow)

The Russian side lead at Old Trafford.

A pull-back finds Brazilian Vitinho, whose shot bounces off the back of Alan Dzagoev and the ball is in the back of the net, the referee gives it and United trail.

He looked offside, but Daley Blind, who had slid off the pitch, may have been playing him onside and the visitors lead.

Herrera is livid, Rashford didn’t even lift his head and look up (from that United counter-attack).

Ander Herrera made a great run there and was ready in the box.

This game suits United so far, they've been the better side and are just lacking that goal.
