But then Arsenal put together a fine move - and they should lead!

Hector Bellerin and Alex Iwobi work a one-two down the right, Bellerin floats over an inviting cross and Danny Welbeck heads it wide!

That is a massive chance. And he knows it.

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

It's probably worth Arsenal fans getting used to seeing their side without either Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. Report so far? It's been all Chelsea as Laurent Koscielny does well to head away a dangerous cross from Victor Moses.

Johnny Magrinho: What a start by Chelsea. Swarming Arsenal like a pack of hungry wasps at a picnic. Arsenal are shell shocked.

Andy White: Arsenal playing like a Sunday league side who were all out too late last night.

Kevin Phillips: Just a thought, Arsenal will create a shock today.

Willian has started this game superbly. He starts a flowing move which ends with Alvaro Morata heading wide. The offside flag was up but that was a cracking bit of play.

Chelsea fans wasting no time in reminding Arsenal of their reduced European status as they chant: "Where were you on Thursday night?" Europa League night of course.

The follow up from the home support? "Arsene Wenger - we want you to stay."

Meanwhile, a very lively start from Chelsea.

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

The early signs would suggest that no, Arsenal's midfield two haven't changed their approach. Aaron Ramsey plays a neat one-two on the edge of the Chelsea box but when the ball is turned over it only takes one pass to play Willian in on the Arsenal back four. No protection at all.

Chelsea win a corner, Cesc Fabregas puts in a low cross and it's touched just wide.

These games are always big but there's extra significance for Arsenal. We're expecting them to capitulate.

Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey were taken to pieces in midfield at Anfield recently, have they learned their lessons? The Gunners midfield is rather absent as Pedro shoots unchallenged from 20 yards, straight at Petr Cech though.

Almost a customary flying start in this fixture for Chelsea as Alvaro Morata and Willian link up beautifully - WIllian's through ball is just about cut out by Laurent Koscielny though.

Alexis Sanchez is still short of full match fitness and on the bench but Arsenal still boast the firepower of £52m Alexandre Lacazette and the physical presence of Sead Kolasinac - a lesson learned by Arsene Wenger perhaps after the pair were inexplicably excluded from the recent 4-0 debacle at Liverpool.

Still no first start of the season for Eden Hazard, who is only a substitute again.

And Antonio Conte has preferred the former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to Tiemoue Bakayoko in central midfield.

Arsenal will start here with neither Mesut Ozil nor Alexis Sanchez in the team. Ozil is absent injured. Sanchez is only on the bench having started two of the last three and scored a fine goal against Cologne on Thursday night.

It'll be Iwobi's first Premier League start since 4 March.
