Liverpool have had a lot of possession in the final third but are doing very little with it.

Liverpool went to Hull and Back to sign Andrew Robertson as left-back, but he cannot get a game in front of Alberto Moreno.

Mark Russell: Moreno is just like that player on FiFA, that inexplicably shoots every time you press pass.

Dwight Gayle, who has four goals against Liverpool, comes on for Joselu.

The Newcastle backline had it easy for much of the second half but are being made to work again.

Mohamed Salah swings in a deep corner which Dejan Lovren loops towards goal, but Jonjo Shelvey is well-placed on the line to head the ball away.

Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge have been pretty quiet.

They have had one or two sniffs but have not done enough. Sturridge doesn't look fit - he looks a yard short.

Those changes have given Liverpool a lift.

Joe Gomez gets forward as he has been doing all game and his cross causes some confusion, but Rob Elliot comes out to punch the ball to safety.

No goal for Daniel Sturridge today. He comes off along with Sadio Mane.

Roberto Firmino and Dominic Solanke enter the action for Liverpool.

For Newcastle, Mikel Merino is replaced by Isaac Hayden.

Surely that is an injury to Merino, he has been Newcastle's best player today.

He sets free Ayoze Perez, but the Spaniard's cross is oh, so poor.
