Thomas Armstrong: Liverpool's defence is as leaky as the Peckham spring
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Brilliant goalkeeping.
Rob Elliot makes his mind up early and snatches the ball away from Daniel Sturridge, who was a toe away from getting on the end of Mohamed Salah's raking pass.
Confident, decisive. Excellent from Elliot.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
An hour in and Newcastle are looking comfortable.
You know Liverpool have the ability to change that in an instant though.

Newcastle are putting Liverpool under a little bit of pressure here.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Newcastle are proving hard to break down and are causing a few problems to Liverpool on the break.
Alberto Moreno, in ahead of Andrew Robertson, comes across to the left and chops down Ayoze Perez.
From the free-kick, Matt Ritchie heads the ball across the box which causes Simon Mignolet plenty of heart palpitations, but Perez cannot convert at the back post.

CM: Genuine neck breaker from Gomez. Complete bottle job by the ref, red every day of the week
Jamie Bolton: What is Joe Gomez supposed to do there? Game is dead, it's gone completely soft.
Robin Smit: I have seen players sent off for less, wish the players would not surround the referee as it does not help the game

In the current climate we have seen reds for similar challenges but I think that is the correct decision.
No one wants to see a red card for that challenge.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Referee Craig Pawson has a long, hard think about this one.
The ball is in the air to be won and Newcastle's Christian Atsu gets to it first, ducking slightly to control it.
In comes Joe Gomez from behind with a nasty, high challenge, catching the winger on his head.
Pawson is surrounded by men in black and white, steps away to consider the decision and awards a yellow card.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Not this time.
Philippe Coutinho's free-kick hits the wall.
Striker Daniel Sturridge then controls the ball on his chest on the edge of the box, but gets his spectacular overhead kick all wrong.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Mikel Merino brings down Mohamed Salah with a clumsy tackle from behind.
The referee strides over and books Ayoze Perez.
Wrong man? No. Perez kicked the ball away.
Philippe Coutinho over the free-kick, dead centre, 30 yards out...
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Sadio Mane has already been in trouble for a high challenge this season.
Now, he goes in for a challenge with Joselu and catches the Spaniard - who is on the ground - on the chest with his studs.
Accidental, but Joselu wants more action to be taken.
Craig Pawson issues nothing.

Irontooth: The one where Lovren and Matip drop the chandelier.
This made me laugh a lot.

Incredible misses from Liverpool again.
What a chance for Sturridge. If he wants to be in this team regularly then he has to put chances like that away.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Talking of Only Fools and Horses, this is a comedy of errors by both sides.
Newcastle Ciaran Clark has an airshot at a pass, completely missing the ball and it puts Daniel Sturridge through on goal.
The Liverpool striker - usually so clinical - shoots straight at goalkeeper Rob Elliot.
The rebound falls to Mohamed Salah on the edge of the box, the Egyptian has a free goal to aim at, but somehow shanks the ball over the crossbar.
A bad miss.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Philippe Coutinho instantly controls a pass that was walloped in to him by Mohamed Salah.
Nothing wrong with Coutinho's knee.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Mikel Merino picks the pocket of Philippe Coutinho.
The Liverpool man goes chasing back and then catches his knee on the Newcastle man.
Is Coutinho OK?
We will keep an eye on him.

Matthew Freeman: Magnificence undone by mediocracy. Liverpool summed up so far this season.
Jamie Cox: Sooo even and not so even. Technecaly Reds are winning in attack but not defence.
Shane Cogan: Klopp has been a failed project. Four transfer windows and same woeful defence problems as predecessor!!
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Off we go again.
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool
Liverpool are back out onto the pitch really early.
They are standing around waiting for Newcastle to emerge for the second half.
