    Brighton 1-0 Everton

Anthony Knockaert hasn't caught fire in the Premier League yet after ripping up the Championship but that's a big goal.

Not long to go and Brighton could be on their way to a third home win in a row.

Breakthrough! Veteran Bruno gets down the right and cuts the ball back to Jose Izquierdo 10 yards out, he should score but side-foots into Michael Keane - another good block - but Anthony Knockaert picks up the loose ball and fires home.

Did Leighton Baines push Pascal Gross there?! The Brighton fans are certain, I think he just went up for the header. Nothing given.

Into the last 10. Everton attack, a cross from the right is half cut out and Gylfi Sigurdsson looked to be pulled back off the ball.

Moments later Oumar Niasse blazes over the bar. He makes things happen. They're not always good, but the happen.

Oh and how did that stay out! Brighton so close to the opener as Anthony Knockaert sees his shot brilliantly blocked by Michael Keane! The Everton defence were sleeping initially, allowing Knockaert to get the shot away. But Keane's recovery was top drawer.

    Chance of the game!

Brighton had not re-organised after that defensive change, Wayne Rooney's cross is good and Dominic Calvert-Lewin's chest control is excellent. Unfortunatley he rushes his shot and can only stab it tamely at Mat Ryan.

At the other end Jose Izquierdo has a shot pushed away!

His initial reaction suggested a bad injury for Shane Duffy but he's on his feet now. Solly March is the man being replaced, as Jose Izquierdo comes on.

Oh and Duffy is indeed coming off - Uwe Hunemeier is on.

Free-kick for Everton as Gylfi Sigurdsson curls it wide. Here's a change for the visitors as Oumar Niasse is introduced in place of Idrissa Gueye.

    Wayne Rooney deeper?

Brighton now with a decent spell as they win a corner, Anthony Knockaert calls for more from the fans. The delivery is a good one but headed well clear.

Wayne Rooney is getting booed every time he gets the ball by the home fans.

No former Brighton connection, no rash tackle. Very odd.

More than 30k inside the ground today as Wayne Rooney overcooks a pass out of play. Not a good performance from the former England captain thus far.

Everton are looking sharper since the break. Nikola Vlasic turns away from his man with a fine first touch but can then only hit a shot against his own foot and it dribbles wide.

Davy Propper is booked for a foul on Idrissa Gueye which the replays show to be a bad one, Gueye turned away from him and Propper stood on Gueye's calf/ankle. That was a painful one and Gueye needs treatment but is able to continue.

Well played! Mason Holgate gets the better of Solly March, with the Everton right-back hammering in an angled shot which Mat Ryan can only bat away. The Australian is lucky that as he pushes the ball back into the goalmouth it hits one of his own defenders and not an Evertonian.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin then heads straight at Ryan.

Glenn Murray almost gets through a gap in the Everton defence but he never has the pace and Michael Keane is easily able to come across and cover. Not his game that.

Get some crosses in for him to attack. Who's more mobile, Murray or Wayne Rooney?
