Harry Kane says that the gameplan was to start fast and get the crowd on their feet. I think that's a tick.

Spurs win four in a row. A big win too. City's nearest challengers?

Jurgen Klopp stares ruefully at his feet. A familiar story of defensive woe for him to chew over tonight.

A slight injury for Harry Kane? He's holding the back of his leg as Fernando Llorente comes on. I think he mouthed the word 'cramp'.

Moussa Sissoko and Alberto Moreno need treatment after a challenge, Sissoko actually rolled his ankle across the top of the ball. That looks nasty but he's OK.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

He's not been well but Eric Dier is now on for Christian Eriksen. Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet has made 13 errors leading to goals in the Premier League since making his Liverpool debut; three more than anyone else.

    Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sees a shot charged down before Mo Salah hits one at the shins of an alert Hugo Lloris. He's had to make some saves today!

Both sides have actually had six shots on target...

I was going to say the game is over and done with now, but I said that at 3-1 at Goodison and there were three more goals.

Daniel Sturridge gets a thankless task of 15 minutes up front.

Klopp is so overrated, his character covers his faults! Hasn't fixed the defence and goal keeper despite it being a weakness when he arrived . spent millions and he has not addressed the issue. Poor manager.

    Sesh, Woking

Liverpool have looked a little suspect in defence. I'm surprised that nobody has picked up on this.

    Nick the Gooner in Watford.

Actually, Harry Kane is specifically not looking the gift horse in the mouth. He's not checking those teeth at all. Just leading the horse away double quick.

    Nick the Pedant, London.

You're bang on Nick. I knew that wasn't quite right...

Twenty minutes to go. For once this has been a Sunday worthy of the Super tag. Just the 12 goals so far.

Liverpool keep on going as Mohamed Salah finds James Milner and his shot is pushed out by Hugo Lloris.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 67 mins

    Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool

    Off the bar!

Philippe Coutinho cracks in a left-footed shot from the edge of the area, it's flying into the top corner and Hugo Lloris makes a flying one-handed save, pushing it on to the crossbar.

    Great athleticism.

Doug McMahon: 4 defensive errors - 4 goals. Can’t defend long balls, can’t defend set pieces, can’t defend. Another indefensible performance.

James Priest: How many more howlers does Mignolet need to make before Klopp decides it's time to buy a new goalkeeper?

  17. NEW RECORDpublished at 64 mins

    Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool

For the first time in the Premier League there is a crowd of over 80,000 at a game. A new record. All but about 3,000 will be going home happy.

Harry Kane cuts inside a man and fancies a hat-trick - blocked this time though.

  18. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool

I'm not sure he would have helped at the back but Liverpool have won 61% of their Premier League games in which Sadio Mane has started since the start of the 2016-17 season, compared to 40% when he’s not been in their starting XI.

Another Spurs corner, another chance as Davinson Sanchez has a total air shot.

'You're just a one-season wonder!' sing the crowd at Harry Kane, chasing yet another hat-trick. He has really been gifted two more today.

  20. 'A howler!'published at 17:17 British Summer Time 22 October 2017

    Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool

    Sam Parkin
Former Luton Town forward on BBC Radio London

What is the goalkeeper doing again? He comes and only gets a pat on it. It drops perfect for Kane after the initial shot, chest down and finish. It is a howler for the keeper. Either catch it or punch it from harms way. It is a straightforward finish but he gives nobody on the line any chance.
