Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, on Sky: "It is the sweetest [win] of the lot. Derbies are always like this - hectic and end to end - but we stuck to it. I am going to celebrate this in there [the changing room] in a minute.
On his error for United's goal: "I am learning on the game, game by game. I anticipated him winning the header and he didn't. Thankfully I have team-mates who can pull me out of the wars. They have done well for me today.
On winning the title: "It is far too early. We take each game as it comes. We are not looking in the past or future, just on the day.
Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne: "Lots of teams lost points this weekend so it is a big one for us [the win]. We have to enjoy it and then focus again for Wednesday.
"It is a big gap. If we slip up we are still in the lead. We can't be complacent. We need to do what we have all year. I prefer to be 11 points ahead than 11 points behind that's for sure."

The so-called ‘most competitive league in the world’ is over before Christmas.
Alex, Oxfordshire
United were absolutely pathetic. We looked petrified of City and let them win. We have no right to call ourselves title contenders when we play like that against our biggest challengers.
Alex
Everyone is raving about how dominate city were but in the end all the goals came down to defensive mistakes. Didn’t really test De Gea at all, should’ve been a draw.

One bookmaker has already paid out in fact. A sign of City's dominance is that Celtic are only five points clear in Scotland.

Stuart: Congratulations to Manchester City. Premier League champions 2017-18. So obvious the bookies may as well pay out on it. no way that team is dropping 11 points.
Ari: Well that was a short season. Title race well and truly over, Man City have won the league, guess the exciting thing left this season is the relegation battle and race for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
Lotak: Good weekend for Spurs. Brilliant weekend for City

Why play counter attacking football at home? Attack is the best form of defence.

Dominant from City, they've toyed with United at times and gone 11 points clear.
They were tactically better and it could have been more than two.
Brilliant from Pep Guardiola's men.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City
Manchester City are 11 points clear (eleven) and the whole staff of the club celebrate in front of a rapturous away end at Old Trafford.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City
Comfortable in the end. Masterful from Manchester City, who are streets ahead of their nearest challengers on that evidence.
It's a first defeat at Old Trafford in 41 games for United. City win a 14th league win in a row!

Dubsguy: This game encapsulates everything wrong with Mourinho, his tactics and what he is doing to United. Something has got to change.
Richard: Sometimes in football, you don't get what you deserve. Today, both teams got exactly what they deserved.

Chance to seal it, Raheem Sterling frees Bernanrdo Silva and he doesn't get a shot away, Antonio Valencia makes a tackle.
Kevin de Bruyne then sends Silva in again, he is driven wide and his shot is easily saved by David de Gea. Two chances to seal it.

The biggest thing for United has been the total lack of creativity.
Everyone said it when he was sent off at Arsenal last weekend, and it's been proven true - they miss Paul Pogba.
No one in a red shirt is passing the ball forward; he is so important to this Manchester United side.

Apparently Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are set to do 20 (twenty) post-match V interviews today. That's insane.

You never want to compare hypotheticals but there's no way Claudio Bravo would have kept that out. A big moment in the game, in the season maybe.
Leroy Sane is replaced by Bernardo Silva as we tick into the final moments.
