Can Spurs hold onto Harry Kane? They've made him a superstar, but can they hold onto him? He needs to win trophies if he's going to stay, but this year Spurs' only realistic chance is probably the FA Cup.
Will there be a bigger transfer in January than Virgil van Dijk's £75m move?

Southampton have got one hell of a deal. Van Dijk is a good player, yes, but for £75m? No, he's not worth it at all.
Southampton could have named any price they wanted. They knew Liverpool were absolutely desperate for a centre-half. Everyone is aware they are desperate - we have seen them come up short several times this season.
When Liverpool try and sign a goalkeeper - which they also desperately need - they will find the same thing. We've been saying it for a number of years now - that transfer fees have gone through the roof - and this one has taken it to another level.

That may be a factor...
Ian Taylor: Maybe Van Dijk went to Liverpool, because he knew he would be one of the first names on the team sheet, rather than a squad player at Man City.
I wouldn't say we are missing an early kick-off but the current office chat is:
Why is there no M7 motorway?
And do I live near the longest sliproad in England?

Liverpool may be paying an eye-watering sum for Virgil Van Dijk, but will consider it worth paying if the Dutchman can offer some leadership and consistency.
Klopp's defence must leave Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Co. tearing their hair out as their outstanding efforts are all too often undermined.
Both these sides have already notched a win apiece from two games this season at the King Power, and both love to attack at pace and in numbers - goals look guaranteed.
Leicester have actually failed to win any of their last four, whilst Boxing Day's big win over Swansea stretched Liverpool's unbeaten home record to 16 games in league and cup.
That's a piffling amount compared to the 85-match unbeaten run at Anfield which Leicester came up against in 1981, but the Foxes left with the points (only two back then) after a shock 2-1 victory.

I don't quite understand why Virgil van Dijk was so desperate to go to Liverpool when Manchester City were supposedly knocking on the door. It seems an odd one why he wants to go there, maybe Manchester City didn't want him?
The fees now, because of the amount of money available, are irrelevant. Does he make Liverpool better? Yes, simple as that.

The £75m is not quite as earth shattering as you think because Liverpool have an asset in Philippe Coutinho who they could sell for £150m. With that money they could get Van Dijk and a goalkeeper.
I do think the goalkeeper situation does need addressing.

Liverpool buying Virgil Van Dijk for £75m is massive, massive money, and the game changes forever on that amount. He's been sulking for a few months, and he's been injured, but he's a great player.
He's big, strong, good on the ball, quick - he's a real Rolls Royce of a player. The Premier League is in a different world - with the money that's spent - and we should almost separate it from the real world now. Now, you wonder how long it'll be until defenders start costing £200m.

It has cost Liverpool an additional £15m and half a season, but manager Jurgen Klopp has finally got his man.
Southampton pulled the plug on a proposed £60m deal during the summer, such was their unhappiness at the way they were being railroaded into a transfer.
However, the tell-tale sign Klopp knew who he wanted to address defensive deficiencies and wouldn't be changing his mind came through the fact Liverpool did not try for an alternative.
After conceding 23 goals in 20 Premier League games so far, Klopp has been reminded often enough he needed to strengthen his defence. Now he has done it, he will hope his side can retain their attacking brilliance and close the gap to Manchester United and Chelsea and, in time, start to challenge at the very top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool's desire to sign Van Dijk comes through the size of the fee, which Manchester City - who were also interested - were not prepared to match.
As for Southampton, they have got rid of a player who clearly had no wish to remain on the south coast and generated the funds that will allow them to reinforce a squad that has struggled for the past 12 months and led to speculation manager Mauricio Pellegrino is on dodgy ground.
Liverpool v Leicester (15:00 GMT)
Hands up who saw this one coming? Ok, so that’s one, two, three, four... right, so pretty much all of you then.
Virgil van Dijk’s move from Southampton to Liverpool is hardly a surprise. They were interested in the summer but a move fell through when the Reds apologised for making an alleged illegal approach for the 26-year-old. What has raised some eyebrows is the fee, with the Saints strong-arming their rival out of £75m - a world record for a defender.
Happy days for Liverpool, who have a proven centre-back to try to solve their defensive issues. Happy days for Southampton, who have a big pile of cash. And happy days for Van Dijk’s ex-club Celtic, who get 10% of that £75m.
So that’s the first deal of the window. Where do we go from here?
Celtic 0-0 Rangers
Half time and goalless at Celtic - now, let's discuss a former Celtic player...
Chelsea v Stoke (15:00 GMT)
Stoke City
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes: "We are obviously desperate to get a number of key players who are missing through injury back to full fitness.
"Once we do that then I am confident of enjoying a really productive second half of the season.
"Obviously Chelsea will be difficult, but Newcastle straight after, we have to make sure we are ready for that and really kick on in the new year."
Watford v Swansea (15:00 GMT)
Swansea City
If you can appoint Brendan Rodgers, you should always appoint Brendan Rodgers. It's just one of my mantras.
Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins agrees - he says "his biggest regret" is not re-hiring former manager Rodgers "at any cost" in January 2016.
The Welsh club are last in the Premier League and have just appointed Carlos Carvalhal as their sixth manager since Rodgers left for Liverpool in 2012.
However, Celtic boss Rodgers had talks with Jenkins about a return before the club appointed Francesco Guidolin.
"I wanted him back, I spoke to him three times," said Jenkins.
"That would have been the biggest thing that we, or I, should have done differently."

Alvaro Morata and Cesar Azpilicueta seem to have a telepathic connection. It might be that Azpilicueta looks for his fellow countryman, because Morata always seems to know where and when his crosses are going to come in. It was a big ask for Morata, coming in to replace Diego Costa, but he's been a good addition for Chelsea.

I think Eden Hazard will go [in the summer]. He's been tempted by Real Madrid and he'll fit in well with their system. He's a top player and he wouldn't feel out of place with them.

Match of the Day commentator at Stamford Bridge
All Chelsea can do quite simply is keep winning. Their haul of 23 points from the last 30 available, and six home league wins in a row, make them almost the best of the rest, as they and their rivals for a Champions League spot continue to look upwards towards Manchester City.
How much business the champions complete in January will be interesting to discover.
Despite a much needed mini-run of four points from six, overall form and history make this game a huge challenge for Stoke, who have only ever registered a single point from nine Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge.
The league's worst defence have already conceded four to Chelsea this season, and with a further depleted back line heading to west London, it could be a long afternoon.
