    Lithuania v Scotland (19:45)

This is the fifth qualifying campaign in which Scotland have been up against Lithuania inside 20 years.

In the nine previous meetings, Scotland have won five and drawn three.

Scotland's most recent trip to Vilnius ended in a 0-0 draw in 2010. The first visit, in 1998, also ended goalless.

Lithuania's solitary success came in 2003 when Jackie McNamara conceded a penalty, while the one away win for Scotland was in 2006, with Christian Dailly and Kenny Miller on target for 2-1.

  8. Hosts will be 'relentless' against Scotspublished at 19:07

    Lithuania v Scotland (19:45)

Lithuania boss Edgaras Jankauskas believes Scotland can secure a World Cup play-off berth and insists they are a better side than the one his team took a point from in Glasgow.

A win over Slovenia and draw with England has reignited Scottish hopes of achieving a play-off berth.

While Jankauskas will try to beat the Scots tonight, he insists Gordon Strachan's side can take second spot.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Scotland get through," he said.

"They have proven that in the recent games against Slovenia and England but we need a positive result.

"I am a big fan of Scottish football so taking a point from Hampden was a big achievement for us.

"As much as I appreciate Scottish football we will try to be relentless in the game because we have our goals and we will follow our dream.

"We might create a big day for our sport and our country."

  11. Hampden draw 'still haunts campaign'published at 19:01

    Lithuania v Scotland (19:45)

    Liam McLeod
    BBC Sport Scotland in Vilnius

Gordon Strachan insists that 10 points out of 12 is the target if Scotland are to stand a chance or reaching the World Cup play-offs. However, anything less than the 12 - which four wins from their final four games rewards - will surely spell the end of those hopes for another qualification campaign.

The Scots are up against a troublesome Lithuania, whose draw in Glasgow last October continues to haunt this campaign.

Leigh Griffiths will aim to continue where he left off in his last Scots appearance, when his two free kicks resulted in a draw with Group F leaders England - and he'll be keen to add to his first international goals in Vilnius...

  12. 'Six points are a must' - Naismithpublished at 18:57

    Lithuania v Scotland (19:45)

Have you read Steven Naismith's new BBC column yet?

The forward, who has earned 45 caps, says Scotland go into the double-header against Lithuania and Malta needing six points.

"Six points are a must," writes Steven. "Nothing else is good enough.

"Unfortunately, the campaign did not get off to the best of starts for Scotland, so we need to do it at the business end.

"It probably puts more pressure on the games but we are going in on the back of positive home displays against Slovenia and England.

"The roles are reversed from the last campaign for the Euros when we got off to a great start, picking up points away from home, before it fell away."
